Pretty freaking cool though. It's kinda like the flamer units used in Alien.

Re: Appleseeds, experiences and questions

In all honesty, bring what you are comfortable with and what you are willing to feed and what will handle two full days of shooting. I've seen all three and then some on the line. While I love seeing the .30 cals on the line, they are getting pricey to feed now a days. When I get back from my next d...

They also make decent improvised pillows.

They are also good to stand on when you need to reach something on a high shelf.

Be careful what you wish for. hehehe Two of my three have been to a couple of Appleseeds and they each have a 10/22. For a while they were stuck in the 130's/140's. To add some incentive, I told them if they break 150 that I will let them use one of my ARs for an Appleseed. Well apparently that work...

Re: Cold snap in E. Europe claims dozens of lives

But what is it about Europe and temperature extremes? Maybe it is just the media and perception but European elderly seem to take huge hits when there are temperature extremes. At least compared to other regions of the globe, you don't see the stories coming from other places. A couple of summers ba...

Re: Diesel Penalty

There may be a price penalty for the diesel but it is more than offset by the increased fuel economy. I've got a 2001 Chevy 2500HD with the big 8.1 gas motor they offered that year. It gets maybe 12MPG. Dad had the same truck in a 2004? or 2005? (can't remember which) with the big diesel and it got ...

Re: Cold snap in E. Europe claims dozens of lives

However, wearing a hat during cold weather is hardly dangerous. In fact it is a damned good idea even if it is for the wrong reason. Perception has a huge impact on a person's reality. If a person feels/thinks they are warmer, to a certain extent they will be. And if nothing else, their morale will ...

Are you scoping it or sticking with iron sights? If iron sights, take a look at Tech-Sights or NoDak Spud NDS-26 Rear Sight Use the NDS-23 front sight base for .920" bull barrels. Use the NDS-40 front sight base for standard factory contour barrels. Standard upgrades for any and all 10/22's I've bou...

Re: Scattergun Conundrum

For clays (trap, skeet, or sporting) you'll want something with at least two shots. For trap and skeet, you never know when you'll need the follow up shot. For sporting clays, you often get stages with doubles, with both being thrown at the same time or the second as a report throw.
