Hearing Protection for Hearing Impaired

Looking for some help to make shooting for enjoyable for someone deaf in one ear. She "feels" the sound of higher power rifle rounds. Like excessive vibrations. Hard time putting it into words as I don't have the same problem. Even with plugs and muffs. At an interior range pretty much nothing is be...

Re: Rapid Bow Firing technique

Yeah, even if he's not at full draw they are impacting hard enough to do damage.

I wish I could shoot my bow that accurately. Let alone that fast.

Re: Battle Belt weight limit?

Unless you have shapely hips running all that with no suspenders probably won't work too well if at all.

I can't give you a specific limit in pounds because body shape matters. I know some skinny guys who needed suspenders to keep up a belt with a handgun and dump pouch on it

Re: Talk me into/out of a crossbow

If the arrow is not made from poor materials and has a weight similar to the arrows meant for your crossbow you could probably improvise ammo to some degree of success. The arrow being too light generally seems to be the issue with crossbows. Especially some of the really powerful ones.

Re: Bow vs crossbow- what would suit me the best

I was at this cross road awhile back and opted for the crossbow. I don't have all the training time in the world. Guns come first and since the crossbow requires less skill honing than the crossbow I opted for the crossbow. If I lived in a place with no guns I'd of opted for the bow.

Re: archery quivers

Its going to be too long at about 29", but it could be modified down to the right size if you (or someone you know) is good with sewing. Eh you don't need to be that good. I cut it down and gutted the extra layers and restitched the side by hand pretty easily. I then used MALICE clips to attach it....

Re: archery quivers

I don't have a photo at the moment but I cut down a Condor shotgun scabbard into a quiver. The PALS on the side allow it to attach to a pack. In fact it's currently on the side of my pack holding around 12 crossbow arrows. Originally I used it for bow length arrows though.

Re: The Basics of setting up fighting gear

I like 762tactical and their gear and can totally understand the price but the design is pretty overkill for a grab and go perimeter patrol rig.

Re: Feedback on an anti-zombie crossbow

I'm gonna disagree with a few points in that article. Pulling 150lb crossbow back is not that difficult. Wear gloves and you aren't going to cut your hands off. I always shoot mine without a cocking aid and aren't exactly a buff dude. The whole weight issues are kinda moot. My crossbow is still ligh...
