Re: 1 Gallon per day

another vote to skip the shampo treatments. no one is going to look like brad pitt or george clooney if we are truly restricted to 1 gallon a day. thanks for sharing, and i am looking forward to reviewing you next entries. fyi.. also, please keep us posted if you experience any headaches, cramps, or...

Re: Ideal Weight for a Bug Out Bag?

like many members have stated, "it depends"..... i like the ideal of having a bob with a max weight of 30lbs. (school backpack) plus, i'm a firm believer of having essentials on my immediate body (in a vest, cargo pockets. etc...), just in case i am separated from my bob.. this items are usually lig...

Re: Where can I buy a Keltec Sub 2000?

this maybe a long shot because of your state, but have you tried your local gun/shooting forum? i found both of mine (9mm glock and beretta mags) on these types of forums. the price of sub2k seems to be all over the place. hope you find one, jamie because they are lightweight, accurate, and simple t...

Re: Shooting high with a bead sight - seeking suggestions

i had the same problem with my mossberg 500 and this helped: first, i was anticipating the recoil and noise from my 12 gauge. after several practice rounds with bird, to defeat the anticipation, i switched back to buckshots, and it made a big difference. finally, ^ this, and having my target on top ...

Re: Maverick 88 Shotgun

that isn't true. the mav 88 and mossberg 500 are fraternal twins. i have several mav 88 and mossberg 500, and could swap parts without missing a beat shooting slugs or buckshots. mav 88 is the bastard child of mossberg and will get the job done. if you are looking for an affordable 12 gauge, this is...

Re: If you have a warning...

i like the ideal of having a car topped off for fuel. i have done this, and made a quick trip to a dollar store. pick up a few extra cans of tuna, pasta, and a few other goodies. i try to end my day early, if i know something funky is coming. in something unexpected (earthquake), i just go home. no ...

Re: $400 budget for semi-auto rifle...whattya do???

sks or ruger 10/22 are really good choices, and i would take the sks because of the caliber.
do not sleep on the hi points carbines (9mm, .40, or 45acp) or sub2k both are great compliments to your sidearm.

Re: Neighbors Knowing You Own

it depends.... i never let them know what or how many, but i have entered my home with my 12 gauge slung across my shoulder after a range visit. my message was simple, if you think about entering this home uninvited, you better have good health and life insurance. did i mention i live alone?
