If your Gurka is very dull, have you considered taking him out to meet new people or do new things? Dull Gurkas are made, not born!

Re: ok to store USGI modular sleep system compressed?

Compression survival depends on several factors, not the least of which is the insulation itself. Some insulations are more durable than others... Just like with mag springs, states of compression or relaxation are fixed states and no work is being performed, therefore the insulation SHOULDNT experi...

Re: Shaving in the PAW

Japanese style straight razors get pretty rave reviews, but they arent cheap. The "old master bladesmiths" have all retired or died so its mostly used blades on the market with premium markups. ZS'r Storm Crow made a Roman style razor for Ninja-Elbow. Might shoot them some PMs on their thoughts. You...

Thats noticeably lower quality Fit and Finish than other items I have seen from them, still, it looks quite serviceable and so long as the steel is properly heat treated its likely to be a generational item.

Alright, I have been living with my grandparents since I was 5(due to home troubles). Recently my grandmother passed, and I have been left with my grandfather. Sadly he was infected with polio(spelling?) when he was a child. This affected his right leg making him unable to run or walk quickly. As t...

Busto, have you traveled anywhere other than cities in Mexico? I'm guessing no. The guy you are going after is correct. I don't know about big cities, like what you would think of here in the U.S., but in the majority of Mexico women stay quiet and don't make eye contact. If being talked to by a LE...

Re: atlatl video

Atlatls are easy enough to make theres not really any need to not just jump into them. (Swiss arrows are neat, but Dave has a habit of lending a bit too much "story" to his claims of effectiveness for the tools he presents. There is a reason atlatls are a world wide tool and swiss arrows are found m...

Re: atlatl video

Atlatls are quick and easy to make and dont take a ton of practice to get reasonable with... no more so than with a bow. And they dont have to be flexible. Flexible atlatls are a modern "innovation". My favorite way of making an atlatl is using a cord to fit into a nock in the dart, like a giant arr...

I like to a keep a few of each major brand of the emergency life boat rations, since they come in different flavors depending on brand. The APBT was developed from breeding American Bulldogs with the Stafforshire and Bull Terriers (for the aggressiveness). You can look it up or take my word for it. How about you provide some support for that instead? You might have a hard time getting the UKC support that position and since it is t...

Re: Bathing with minimal or no water{Pic heavy?}

Id tend to go with a nicely concentrated soap, like Dr. Bronners, and then with a small bowl of hot water and a wash cloth, use that to wash up. For hair, Id probably just put mine up in a pony or braid it or something... the gross but true thing is, hair oil is what youre trying to replace by using...
