Re: Dog pulled cart?

The only problem is that these dogs require an enormous amount of food to support, and drop turds like a grown-ass man. I cant even comprehend dealing with 12 of them, you'd have food needs like the Duggers. As an owner of 2 great danes, this man speaks truth. 6 great danes would be over 100lbs of ...

Re: $100 car bag challenge.

So I am back to working on this after some time off.

Does anyone know of a good checklist for this kind of thing to make sure i am not missing out on anything important?

Do you just know or is this from a database that you can use to look things up?

Re: $100 car bag challenge.

This is for my 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali 6.0L AWD (extra info for Assault Life)

So i have plenty of room.

a good half inch drive breaker bar seems to me to be a bit more versatile than the lug wrench kits.
But I haven't made a final decision on that just yet.

Not everyone has that option. Jumper cables would be a good idea if you'd like to help others in trouble.
The weight and space savings is not worth the trouble of having to push start a car.

Re: $100 car bag challenge.

Not bad, though it's quite a bit more expensive than $9 for the breaker bar.

I haven't made a trip to harbor freight just yet to see what i can get for cheaper than amazon.

Something like a breaker bar and combo wrenches are usually pretty cheap there.

unless you need to break loose a lug nut. which is honestly one of the few reasons you need a breaker bar to begin with.

Yeah i am aware of CL. Its somewhat hit or miss. The prices around here are hardly worth it if you know how to shop around.
It is also very hard to replicate.

Re: $100 car bag challenge.

Yeah, the money isn't really an issue at this point. I need to get together a kit for the new truck and i just thought this would be a good exercise. If i were buying tools for the home to use on serious mechanical work i would just get what i could afford. Quality is a big deal. For the car where i...

$100 car bag challenge.

Inspired by the emergency car kit thread, I figured it would be a nice challenge to do the $100 kit just like we have done a few times for bugout bags. I don't count food or water in this situation as i feel it should be its own bag/container so that you can rotate perishables with out removing your...

Re: Ultimate Bug Out (towed) Vehicle?

The uhaul idea is neat but for sleeper trailers i think custom is the way to go. Learning to weld isnt that hard and its a very good skill to have. also you make it specifically for your needs. For an offroad trailer i think its a better route to go for sure.

Re: Ultimate Bug Out (towed) Vehicle?

Its a bit more than just a tent trailer, but for 58 k you could make something yourself that has almost all of that, and buy all the tools to do so.

The only real engine mods i will likely make are to add a tuner to help with mileage and what not. Though it is good to know what to expect if my needs ever change at all. so keep the details coming. well for ford, its really really hard to kill the 7.3 powerstroke. I love my 7.3 powerstroke in my 1999 F250 Superduty. You dont have quiet the power potential as the newer motors but trust me 500hp is easily attainable still. (that is a awesome amount of power when you figure its about 1000-1100 f...
