That's the problem with the ultra-bright tactical flashlights... The are great for lighting up the area, but put out too much light for close-up reading.

I think they will cut power wherever the risk of them getting sued out of business is too high.
They cut the power in an area that then riots and I think they'll get sued out of business.
Won't the resulting fires light things up? :)

Re: Preparing for an Active Killer incident

That's what the Run, Hide, Fight video has been criticized for. It's not a step by step plan, it's a pick the best route for the situation. As for meth: On March 27, the WV State Police picked up a guy doing 130mph on his way to Washington. He had taken meth and driven straight through from Missouri...

Preparing for an Active Killer incident

I started working on this document off and on about a year ago. It is not complete, and is a work in progress. I think I got everything cited correctly. It started out as a question about unmanned vehicles, but I have found over the years that I like returning home at the end of the day, and like to...

Would micro-SD cards be a viable storage medium?

I think the $40 Android tablet from Walmart will read them. The tablet could be recharged with some type of cell phone charger. Not sure about longevity of the tablet battery, and the screen could be scratched up or broken.

Do you think similar results could be had by the simpler expedient of wrapping the exterior of a zippo lighter in duct tape? The metal of the case itself should be gas tight, perhaps all that's necessary is to seal the seam while the case is closed. If that works it should also prevent the exterior...

Re: Check your batteries, even the ones you have stored

The crayon boxes that Walmart sells, work fairly well for storing 16 or so AA batteries. I haven't counted how many AAA. Someone else was using the plastic boxes for reloaded cartridges. A multimeter with a dedicated battery test position is best, because it tests the battery under load. A regular m...

Cottage cheese in work fridge.

Smell almost made me start gagging when I opened the door to the room.

I opened the container to make sure that's what the smell was.

It was.

Exp 2 years prior.

I didn't taste the actual product. Does tasting the smell count?

Promptly thrown in garbage.
