Beaches I've visited: VA OBX Myrtle Beaches I've truly experienced: VA (streaked) OBX (also streaked) Give me some real insight on Myrtle Beach. What are the best parts? Before I deploy again, we are hitting a condo near the boardwalk next to the House of Blues and all that fun stuff. I love eating ...

I Have Returned.
Nothing grandiose, but I miss you guys. Life was crazy for a while, but things have evened out to the point where I can turn an eye to preparation once more. I don't know how much the community has evolved, where it is going, or how I was remembered. I've changed, too. I look forward to learning mor...

Christ in a woodchipper.
Why play Mr.Wizard Vs Bill Nye over a two second answer?
Why does going near-nude work? I don't know. It just does. Do I know the science behind it? No. I don't care, either.
There is the answer. Problem solved.
You will be happier wearing fewer layers in a sleeping bag.

You just name the watertower, Doc, and I'll bring the binos and beer.
A fine rifle, man. Glad you were able to put something like that together in the short time you had.

Any dates being looked at right now? If I can manage it between the Wife and the Machine, I'd be glad to attend.
I hope I can contribute some knowledge from the mounted operations house.

Re: Attacked by a vicious dog tonight
I didn't suggest that either. So what was the deal against shooting it inside? Understandable that people were freaked. I've never questioned that. And they moved to safety, that's good. I've never said otherwise. But don't play the extremist card here and act like I'm saying they had to map out co...

Re: Attacked by a vicious dog tonight
where was the urgency that meant one absolutely had to resort to shooting the dog indoors as the first/only solution? what exactly required immediate burst-through-the-door action? I don't see the sense in trying to seize the animal to drag it outside just to shoot it. I see no urgency of any kind ...

Re: Attacked by a vicious dog tonight
Really though, man. You did what you thought was right. That is awesome. People are always going to try to pick your shit apart and make you think twice or that you were in the wrong, especially online. Fact is, they weren't wearing your boots when you neutralized the threat. As long as you stand by...

Re: BSN may be in my future.
This is an absolutely serious question: How would you feel about washing another man's ass? Had to do it for clinicals at the VA Hospital while at Hospital Corpsman A school back in the day. Crotchety, hard to deal with, old ass. Had to help bathe/shower them, too. A large part of getting over it f...

Awesome. Yeah, I've been out of school for about... 8 years, now. 10 by the time I am able to go back to school, so college is pretty intimidating to me. I was young and stupid and dropped highschool for a GED so I could enlist earlier. I think I have the work eithic to get through college, now. I i...
