Re: WTB Beat-up but functional 2XL/L ACUs/Patrol Cap

@Slugg- Those wouldn't fit but thanks anyway. @$lug- It only matters because I was planning on wearing 3 different sets of camo (Plain Green, Woodland, OD Dyed ACU's) with my gear in my AO (my gear is a mixture of OD, RG, SG, Woodland, and CB) to see which worked better for me. And, in the words of ...

WTB Beat-up but functional 2XL/L ACUs/Patrol Cap

I am looking for a set or two of functionally sound but inexpensive ACUs in 2XL/Long or 2XL/XLong. I want to try my hand at RIT dying a set for my AO. Also looking for a few 7 3/4 patrol caps for the same purpose. Thanks!

Please put me down as a maybe, I start a new job this month and I don't know if I will be able to switch shifts/get the time off. Also, will this be the ZS $200 tuition or the full $400?

Re: Carbine carrying case suggestions...

I use a Mil-Tech USA carbine bag that I got 3rd hand. It rode in one officer's crusier for 3 years pre-9/11, another officer's trunk for 4 years post-9/11, and has been my workhorse carbine soft case for 6 years now. It is good quality, holds up to 7 mags on the outside, could probably get more if p...

Re: Beta Magazine

You may not have a magazine in a weapon that is not .22LR that holds more than 30rds of ammunition in Ohio unless that weapon is NFA registered. I would not recommend possessing both an AR Beta C-Mag and an AR15 variant at the same time though mere possession is not explicitly criminal. The 30 round...

Re: WWYD? Purchased brand new RRA with Crap Mags

Those look like typical dry-film mags that were thrown in a box to rub against other dry-film mags, those are the wear spots you see. As long as they function, I wouldn't sweat it. Run them hard for training if you don't like the looks and buy some PMags for show/social work.

Hi Steve! You'll find that the OHZS guys are an interesting bunch. But we do love gear and have a decent group here in Central OH so you may see some of us around. And as far as using your store as a meeting place, all I have to say is be careful what you wish for  Any way, enjoy the site a...

2) Accuracy and muzzle velocity are directly dependent on barrel length. Not to be "That guy", but wasn't the 1st part of this statement proved false? I seem to remember someone on the interwebs cutting a rifle bbl down inch by inch, to ridiculously short lengths. Grouping (at a short enough range ...

I want to say thanks to all of the staff of Contagion 2010 and all the guys from ZS for making our trip out there just awesome. Boundfate and I had an excellent time, enjoyed every evolution that we shot, and enjoyed our stay in PA. We are certainly planning on doing Contagion 2011 (coming back righ...

So does anyone have/know where to get chamber flags between Columbus, OH and the shoot? We are going to have a tent at Contagion and I was thinking it would be nice to get a group picture. I am thinking we can meet up at the ZS tent and get a picture. Re: Arsenal AK proprietary parts?!?

I have rather large hands and find the stock AK grip to be quite uncomfortable, so I use a SAW grip from TAPCO (yea I know, but apparently it's one of the few good products they make). However if you find the stock grip working then obviously there is no need to change anything. I am the opposite w...

I have never had a problem with their .45ACP/9mm/.380ACP in multiple pistols/carbines. It should be good stuff for you.

Re: AK White Light - How are you attaching one?

Damn Dave, I never seen that happen to a VTAC mount. You must have run that super hard, story? OP: I took a small piece of Weaver rail, drilled two holes through the handguard (this is on an S12), and bolted it on. Seems to work fine, but I only have 100rds of low brass through the gun with it on. I...
