Re: The Last Centurion by John Ringo

I sent a message to John Ringo asking him if he'd start using some fuglies in his novels. I'd hate for anyone to feel left out of a fucking book. It takes a village, you know, and all that...

Re: Observation "Rant"

My particular Vickers has been modified to shoot knives. The MG42 shoots small missiles that split open to fire the following individual melee weapons at over 2400 fps: a club, a cane, an axe, and a katana. All have a +2 damage amplifier. I want to pick up Ruger's new RL98 Riot Lion in .367 that de...

Continue losing weight. Attend edible plants class in Smokies. Purchase .22 pistol. Plant more in my brother's garden plot this year. Make a career change, cause lay offs suck. Backpack more. Work a second job so that if all this planning is for naught, I can retire early. Build a better mancave. St...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Went to the local Gander Mtn. They had replacement filters for the MSR Miniworks on clearance for $3.50. I bought nine. Added some ammo. This Saturday I am taking a pressure point control tactics course that will allow me to carry an expandable baton if'n I want to.

Re: REVIEW: Gerber LMFII ASEK Survival Knife (56K:Piss off)

I received mine from LA Police Gear and have to send it back. :( Apparently one got through Gerber's quality control. The problem is that the retaining snap closest to the guard on the sheath is too small and won't close around the handle of the knife. Anyone else have this problem? Mine was ridicu...

December 27, 2008 11:33 P.M. Knoxville, TN I don’t know if I’ll ever backpack in the Smokies again. What the HELL is going on! Kat and I leave Friday to go backpacking over the weekend, since everybody is usually shopping the after Christmas sales; we figured we would have the place to ourselves. No...

Re: Who carries Trioxane?

I carry Trioxane. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh72/gundalilama/Invictus001.jpg Hooray for army surplus store sales. Sixty cents per box. Three bars per box. Many boxes in a bigger box. Don't treat the trioxane bar like a Fun Dip Lik Em Stick, or snort it up your nose, and you should be fine. ...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Just came back this afternoon from a winter camping trip. Heavy rain on Monday, so we practiced building shelter at speed. Trioxane is awesome for starting fires in the rain. Practiced starting fires with Swedish fire steel, Gerber firestarter, and one of the magnesium rod firestarters. Not too plea...

Get out of the kill zone. I'm guessing by the sarcasm in the way he said it that is what you are supposed to do. That's why I posted it. Didn't look like that's what all of them did, because apparently the last car engaged an insurgent. What does the military train soldiers to do in this situation?

I just want to take a moment and apologize to everyone here for my rant. I just came across this youtube video about a double ied attack. Not the same as a spike strip, but I think the video tells you what to do in case of vehicle ambush.

Re: Maybe I should move...

This makes sense. It's not about how much money you make or where you live. It's all about a growing number of Americans choosing to live in debauchery, filth and ignorance. While there at it, why not spit out inordinate amounts of children so that they can propagate the problem. They have no inclin...
