Re: Grip Pods -How do we feel

As Dave said "chow hall kickstand"

Nice idea poor execution, not really needed.

The feet break off pretty easy too.

Glad you got it cheap.

Re: Low Light Techniques

I am a bit confused by the flash, MOVE, shoot technique. At what range are we practicing this. Anything I'm talking about is at pistol distances, primarily indoors. You might have a carbine rather than a pistol, but the ranges are in feet and not yards. If its measured in yards you should have brou...

Re: ACOG Advice

I'll go LaRue every time cause they have taken care of me in the past even went I stripped the hell out of a set of scope rings and screwed up the mount. They sent me a completely new mount. Yeah I have spent several thousands of dollars with them on mounts and optics but thats still pretty freaking...

Is there a problem with Big Piney?
Besides that its roughly 600 miles from me and I can't set up before hand no. If someone local would be willing to do prep work I can get us on the schedule there.

Re: eye sight and optics issues

Well learning how to manipulate the rifle left handed is what you need to do then. That's an easy fix that a few minutes of dry practice every day will iron out just fine. Learn to shoot your irons before you jump up to an optic. That will also give you time to look around and find one that will wor...

Re: Basic Fitness for Firearms Enthusiasts and Other Humans

Ran a little 1 mile loop in my neighborhood 8:53 on the mile time. This is probably the first time I have ran any distance since October.

eye sight and optics issues

I never said pistol.

With someone who posted they have difficulty shooting a rifle at 35 I would not recommend a pistol either.

Re: eye sight and optics issues

Ok since I have been baited in on this once might as well go for a second. If I could only see to 50 yards I would not own a rifle. That's my personal view and as that I don't expect anyone else but me to follow my advice on that. Disclaimer: I do wear corrective lenses and I have shot with out them...

Re: eye sight and optics issues

I can see fine, and I've wasted plenty of money on rifles. Which is your choice to do so. Pimp is new to this game and IMHO shouldn't be wasting his money on a rifle when he can't see past 35 yards. Unless he just zeros the irons for seven and calls it a day I don't see how he wouldn't be better se...

Sorry maybe I'm just an ass hole but if you can't Id something past 35 then your wasting a lot of money on a rifle.

Re: fix my rifle!

Starting my own thread about fixing my rifle. I am right handed but am left eye dominant since the vision in my right eye is getting worse and just my overall eye sight in general is dropping. I have tried shooting left handed and it' does not work too well unless I make my rifle ambidextrous. I am...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

The best answer for this is for Pimp to start a completely new topic on this and the mods move the conversation over to there so we don't derail this any more. Since this has NOTHING to do with building an AR-15 at this point.

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

And if I remember correctly Pimp has sever eye issues which compound the problem even more than just a dominate eye issue.

Re: All purpose

Two things on this cross dominate talk. If your a total cluster f@&$ trying to shoot left hand then fine. i haven't seen to many normal people be able to do it with out some work. But it is highly possible to do so with training unless you have a significant eyesight problem. If you want to go for t...

I don't turn on lights.

That's my personal preference.

And that's what I recommend if your trained.

Thanks for updating Gbm

Re: Article: Setting Up a Home Defense Pistol

Lights stay off. If you train that way, practice that way, and are confident in doing that way turning the lights on just puts it all on an even playing field vision wise. But then again I have quite a bit of experience running around in the dark with a gun and on that note I really wish I had a set...

Re: Military Pants

Chest pockets get sewed onto upper arms. You can take the other lower torso pockets and have them sewed onto the legs if you wanted to. It's an old school mod from the days before all the new uniforms. I thought we were talking about "pants"? Nobody said anything about a blouse/jacket. When I wore ...

So all you need to do is bump the rears a little in the direction you want the rounds to go and use a 6 o'clock hold at 25 and beyond. Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk. They're Loc-Tited on and wedged in place from Warren Tactical. I can't move them. At all. Remember all that shit I went through ...
