Re: Zombie Con VI - 2010

Hey you crazy cats, I won't be able to attend this year. I decided to go back to school for some crazy time sapping fine arts degree because I'm strange like that and unfortunately it'll be eating up my summer hours as well. However I do get to make crazy silver teeth necklaces so I guess the trade ...

Re: The Colony on Discovery

I knew the charcoal/sand thing but I wouldn't expect to find bags of it randomly at some warehouse. The other stuff is definitely over my head. I wouldn't even have thought about the pipe for the rain water collection so I did wonder if they were being given ideas about things by the safety experts ...

Re: The Colony on Discovery

I think the essential skill set is what bugs me the most actually and why I'd be more interested in watching a Raider group. The likely hood that you'll have that collection of people all stuck together and banding up to form a colony wouldn't be all that great and messes up the believability of the...

Re: The Colony on Discovery

I thought this show was a lot of fun, and it seems like most of the complaints come from the the lack of violence and killing. While I'm not arguing that this wouldn't happen in the PAW and that it, in fact, would become common more than likely I also don't believe it's realistic to expect that in a...

Re: Zombie Con 2009 - The Debriefing

Now that the internet is working again I can post. Yay! Internet! Anyways, besides my awesome run of bad luck on Wednesday (beyond what happened at camp, a belt broke as I tightened it in Wal-Mart, my DVD player broke before I left, and I caught a cold on Saturday/Sunday the week before [Sorry to an...

Your Missouri gave me bronchitis. Sadly, Manbath was worth it. Swallowing the spider and the tick in the eye tried desperately to upset the scales but did not manage.

This is as ASAP as I could get, but I have not received a map e-mail. I would like a map e-mail so that I may get there and serenade you all with "The Good Ship Venus" and "Song of Joy".

Re: How would YOU kill a zombie?

If he can take an old one, he can definitely take a zombie. Howard kills zombies like they're pain pills after he just injured his tail in a horrible medical procedure and six years later you're diagnosing people with other horrible diseases but can't get over the massive pain in your leg.

Dude, no way an anthromorphic duck that does the damned duck walk could take an Old One. I call speciesism!

Assemble the four shards of the disc of R'yleh and let Cthulhu deal with them for me. Mmm. Selling out humanity for a bigger piece of the pie. What, he's not going to want to rule Cleveland. No one wants Cleveland, not even Ohio. Post Script: No offense meant to Cleveland. Well, okay, some. Seriousl...

I've run across these things at different points and always liked them. I'm sure they've been around before, but I thought I'd toss them in here for you guys to look at too. http://www.uscav.com/Productinfo.aspx?productID=6685&TabID=548 If your clicky finger is busted, it's an ontario knife company ...

Re: Ragers or Undead

I prefer Undead, shambling and slow. Something about supernaturally resurrected creatures that show up our technology laden society by simply stumbling into us is sort of awesome. Plus that image of dozens of them coming out of the darkness into your flashlight beam is creepy as hell.

Re: ZS logos, ads, posters and other promotional stuffs

Just did this as a quick mock-up. I've got the file saved with a transparency so if you actually put it on a shirt the shirt color would show where the black is. If you liked it enough I'd probably hand draw the nail. http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww279/SavageNovember/th_zsnailmockup2.jpg Edit:...

The tent is airing out, the supplies are mostly gathered. Anything I should know about etiquette? Don't bash people with your car? Don't snuggle with the grizzlies?

Re: Killing floor

It's fun. Our group of friends in Indiana are currently playing the crap out of this. Basic breakdown: You get no crosshairs, only the ironsights on guns and your quick wits. In basic game you can have up to six people but you can alter one of the files just a bit and you can have as many as you wan...

Re: Would you eat cooked zombie meat if you were starving?

Eat it in the hopes that it would turn me undead but with higher brain function and an insatiable desire for human flesh. Then I would slowly form a group of survivors that I convert to my cause by secretly feeding them the same stuff so that eventually we conquer the cities and turn the lower zombi...

Re: What makes a headshot a headshot?

As many things do, this thread caused me to think in a strange way. While the upper functions of a zombie are mostly shut off depending on the method of zombification, they still have the base urges for food and whatnot. However they don't need to breath and their heart doesn't beat so who says that...

Re: Are Zombies really dead?

Well, speaking from a folklore perspective they are truly dead. Zombies (speaking of the various versions of them in African/Haitian/southern United States) are generally empty shells re-animated by some sort of supernatural method. That supernatural method varies, it could be a potion that works ma...
