Same here. Mostly taking hits and bounties, but also the occasional race and job. Been having fun hunting down all the radar red dots I can find. They swarm though, but it's all fun.

Rattle can indeed FTW. Once I started DIY camp on my gear for the first time, I couldn't stop. Knives, guns, packs. It's a fun hobby.

Re: Building a long range rifle- range or maneuverability-Re

Not to poo-poo on some guys/gals parades, but some of you complicated the bejesus out of these things. Maybe I'm an old cart, but one of the aspects of the human mind that are lauded is the ability to simplify the complexities. Don't over think these things, all the info you need is out there and po...

Re: Building a long range rifle- range or maneuverability-Re

With a .308win (7.62 NATO) and a 21-22 inche barrel, you're not pushing the envelope of a properly built rifle till you reach out to 800mtrs. A Savage Weather Warrior is all that one should need unless irons are a must, which all things said and done "I" do require. But if your heart is dead set on ...

Re: What are you playing?

I'm trying to play New Vegas realistcally, but even with Obsidian's "leave it open to modder commnitie's vast comprehension of *holy shit things just got real* take" it's become more and more difficult. Fuck the *wwyd* boards; people are assholes... seriously. Which leaves to believe in YOU M*Fucker...

Re: A little reminder about 7.62 NATO Ball

M855 will still blow thru a SAPI faster than 7.62 ball. Don't believe me? Ask the wonder boys here like Doc or DaveM. A heavier round does have it's uses, but a lot of you 5.56 bashers don't know as much as you think you do. Not being a dick, just factual.

Hey ZS, I've recently acquired a new "to me" bow and I hope that one of you silent stalkers out there can help me understand the quality of it and what to expect. The bow itself is a glass powered recurve model from Bear Archery (model printed on the bow is the Kodiak Magnum). It's a #45 draw, as th...

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The first DLC expansion has come out today, Dawn Guard. Xbox exclusive for the first 30 days, but that just means that the bugs will get ironed out before PC release. PS3 players, your guess on the quality is as good as mine (Playstations HATE the Gamebryo engine, and this "new" Creation engine is s...

A Nice thing about the hammer wrt weapon fatigue: Someone who roofs or builds has probably swung his hammer a lot more often, for longer periods, than most sword owners practice swordcutting. Fuck that noise! My dad is a general contractor and half the time I feel more comfortable with a nail gun t...

All you need to downoad the game is an Xbox live Silver account (which is free) and access to the web. Pending internet speed, it may take awhile for the download to complete. Once your Silver accoun is established, sign in at the Xbox dashboard by pressing the center button on your controller and s...

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Just had a thought, was hanging around the DB Sanctuary and chatting up my favourite vamp when I realised that her voice actor was cringingly awful. The dialogue wasn't the issue, but the delivery. Who ever voiced her Can NOT do evil or dark (but that might have been done purposefully for the contra...

Re: What are you playing?

Dear Bioware/EA: Go fuck yourselves . Holy shit, this, I...what?!. I was up in the air before this about buying it, now I flat out refuse. Another shining example of why I cancelled my preorder 3 days before release. Bioware shot themselves in the foot concerning Mass Effect, even if you get a phen...

Sorry, I was entranced by Frances. This looks fun too do, but they need something to simulated skin (the skulls break apart far too easily, though I guess the trauma is the same.)

Re: Fixed blade knife for SHTF

I never could get the hang of not using a blade to start the cleaning though. More than just making an incision I mean, I almost always need to open up and peel down the neck before I can do the rest by hand. Guess I'm just too rough on my meat... giggity.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm shelving Skyrim for now, with the option of trading it in. The lack of decent characters and good story telling (not to mention the railroaded, no quest completion options or experienced impacts on the world, finally got too me. Beautiful and expansive game world, horrible RPG considering other ...

Even though Vegas isn't on the list, I still think about something happening here. In addition to just being a big city, it's probably one of the more recognizable places in the world. Just like the World Trade Center, imagine taking out the Vegas strip. I think Mr. House isn't going to let that ha...

Spears, fat people, flails, combining two spells together if you have the dual casting in the respective trees (flames+sparks= one column of red lightining), ice arrows (and some spells) that can extinguish torches from afar Thief style, mounted combat, a mudcrab the size of a warehouse, it all look...
