Not yet. I've been in other story worlds....

I know where I want to go, it's going there.
Something made me think of Chelsea the other day, decided to pop back in to the ole ZS. Imagine my surprise to see that Doc decided to write some more.

What a wonderfully dirty rifle.

Re: Esstac Shotgun Card; Now with Video

I got to spend some time with the Esstac card this weekend, and I am impressed. I've never been a fan of the shotgun as a defensive weapon, but this system really gives it a kick up the top. I was still fumbling with my reloads, but the fact that I had new rounds available with a slap of the hand ma...

Re: All purpose NFA questions thread

When you double up on hearing protection, the reduction doesn't directly stack. You aren't getting the full reduction from both the plugs and the muffs.
Unfortunately there isn't an easy way to figure out what sort of protection you are getting, but there is a definite benefit.

Re: 12ga vs 20 ga

I shoot trap and hunt rabbits and squirrels with my little single shot 20 gauge, and I never feel under-gunned.
(You can ask Doc, I love my single shot)

I know Winchester and Federal both make steel shot for 20 gauge, I'm not sure about its availability in New Zealand, but it is available.

Re: High Ground: House of Adair

I apologize for not commenting on your story earlier, it is the least I could do for such an amazing piece of work.
But this chapter, this bit of story is amazing. I can't put my appreciation into words, because I don't have your gift, so I'll put it simply.

Thank you.

Re: Act of Valor

If this movie didn't feature real Navy SEALs, but featured actors who acted in the exact same way, would you still have enjoyed it? Absolutely not. The only thing that redeemed this movie was the fact that they used real Navy guys. The dialogue was painfully bad, I was actually embarrassed for the ...

Re: Mossberg MVP

How is the action with a loaded mag in it? I've had concerns about the spring tension causing a lot of resistance on the bolt. I should think that would mostly depend on the size and brand of magazine, since some seem to be easier to load/unload than others. Good point Rick. I've been calling guns ...
