Re: Couple of Recipes from EdsManifesto

Long time, no post. Any who, here are a few recopies from the FB/IG page "Ed's Manifesto". Some of you may recognize Ed from his appearance on Joe Rogan Experience. Been following Ed for a long time now and he's always got some good little tidbits about surviving in a less than ideal environment. h...

Those recipes are great. Do you have more?
I'll post more as I find them. Been a while since I have contributed to ZS, figured I would provide some usable info.

Nope, that would be J.L. Bourne who does have an account on ZS. Not sure if he is active anymore. I had cross membership in ZS and his forum, Hotel 23, back in the day.

Re: Baofeng UV 5R

For a good starter rig, the BF UV-5Rs are not a bad place to begin the addiction. That being said, if I had to do it all over again, I would have just saved up a few more doll hairs and got the FT-60 and a few extra battery packs. I like older Yaesu products like the FT-60 and FT-1500 (long disconti...

Re: 14.7" PSA Build

How's it balance? Feel like you can thump it good without breaking it? The balance is decent. The barrel is a heavy profile (which is what I wanted) so it is slightly nose heavy. Coarse the longer hand-guard helps that out. My other AR is a 16" Bushy with an A2 stock and detachable carry handle. Th...

Re: 14.7" PSA Build

It's been good so far. It was on my Bushmaster for a year or so with no issues. I'm still on the original battery. When I first got it, I left it on for about 3 months straight and it's still going strong. I am planning on swapping the battery soon for piece of mind. I wouldn't beat on it too much (...

Top is my Bushy carbine I have had for years, bottom is my just built Palmetto State Armory pistol with a 12" barrel. It's my place holder for the SBR process.

Re: PSA Ar-15

I just built a pistol that is 100% PSA that came to just under 700. I also just got done pricing up a mid length build for about $610. In my opinion, I would just build the rifle myself unless they don't have it in stock.

Re: XM193 or M855 as SD ammo for an AR-15

The big attraction (at least for me) to M193 is that it's usually priced within a few cents of Wolf so you can stack it pretty deep, shoot it as range ammo, and your zero is dead-the-fuck-on. Otherwise, shoot wolf, learn your holdover for your social ammo. Not usually much of a change to begin with...

Re: What AR stock are you running and why?

I'm actually using an A2 on my M4gery. My first AR was an A2 stocked full size gun that I traded uppers for a 16" upper. Had the collapsible stock on my current rifle for about a year then I swapped it out for an A2. I plan on using a full size rifle stock of some form on my future SBR builds as wel...

Re: My 2nd Ar, 1st Pistol style Build!

Looks good man. I have a similar build happening with all PSA parts using their 12" upper. It's being a place holder until the SBR paperwork can be submitted and approved.

Re: HD & SHTF rifle for under $600

I'm switching sides from team SKS to team PSA on this thread. The SKS would be a fine choice for a lot of people, but the AR can grow and change as you get more money and want to do different stuff. Edit: I wasn't aware that they were this cheap now Right on buddy. As you have seen, the SKS can be ...

Re: Considering the Beretta M 92a1

I first shot one at GM "A" school in '09. I hated the thing with a passion. Jump ahead to 2012 and I bought one used for a good price. I started getting some more time on the gun and it really grew on me. I did end up trading it off for another Beretta product (Px4 Storm in .40 S&W) but I do plan on...
