Central Florida for me, although I’ve been known to travel into Georgia usually Gainesville is about as far north as I go. Can’t say I’ve been to the panhandle yet

Florida member checking in

It’s been a while (almost 9 years) life happened. Still alive and still into camping and being ready for the zombie apocalypse.

Any of the old timers still active?

Any central Florida meets coming up?

Also other Florida members feel free to check in on this thread.

Well it’s been almost 9 years since I was on here, looking for the checking in thread and found this. To answer your question, it’s been a while but yes I remember.

I'd rather be on the lake fishing and eating steaks instead of hanging drywall and blowing installation.

Re: Do some (or all) guns come with "Break-in" oil?

I wipe down the outside then shoot it. I don't take my new guns apart and clean them before hand because I don't want to. However it is a good idea to check your gun over before shooting, this includes new and used guns. You never know if "gremlins" found your gun and screwed with it.

After this weekends camp out with some local ZS'ers I have to say I doubt anything could be quieter than a Honda generator. "Geardo" had a 1000w and 2000w, you hardly new they were running.

That isn't a fact. I call bullsh*t!

You assume that your $180 gun works as well as my $500+ gun. Also I had a Hi-point C-9, it worked like the cheap hunk of metal it was.

Really would any of us choose the guns they had as their character weapons? Let's see double barrel shot gun, bounty hunter, .22lr pump, and whatever the hot chick had. No thanks I'll stick with my PS90.

I generally avoid cleaning my guns. Occasionally I'll clean around the extractor and the chamber. I have no use for cleaning patches, also I can't seem to find mine.

Re: Any thoughts on the S&W M&P 9mm?

First I had one. It rocked. I'd buy another one. You da man. Apparently the manual says certain pistols might have the lock. Yet every picture I've seen shows the pistols with the hole where the lock goes. What gives? Also .45 models, which are the ones I've always looked at, seem to be available wi...

Re: New SIG 516

I sent them an email last year asking about possible production of non-railed versions of their pistols (the rails ruin the looks of them IMO). They can tell me to "shove off", but they can add YET another piston AR to the mix? Seems to me they still make them without rails. Actually I thin...

Re: Reason #923245 to NOT carry a Glock without a holster

$15 for an Uncle Mike's paddle holster out of this guys price range? I only know about DA Revolvers, Berettas, Sigs, and Glocks but other modern designs are similar in that they have an abundance of safety features to prevent this from occuring. It is IMPOSSIBLE for them to go off without the trigg...

I don't know where you all get your ammo, but not only have I been able to find 5.7 to feed my guns it tends to be the same price or cheeper than most rifle rounds. Also for the record the AP rounds were taken off the market. a bit more on topic I like the 5.7 round it gives me a rifle round for clo...

Re: Reason #923245 to NOT carry a Glock without a holster

how about dont carry any gun with out a holster. I don't know, I'd hate to drop the coin on a holster JUST to transport my Glock 17 from home to vehicle. Maybe in a CCW package, as one would be carrying it throughout the day, but how many people my size (5' 8", 130lbs) can conceal a full size Glock...
