Re: An Unwelcome Development

Hi Jim in California! I left you guys in a tough place! Middle of an ambush, Did Stan get shot? What's Shaffley and Fiona up to back at home? :) I've put book two on hold and have been totally focused on getting book 1 published. I've totally re-written the beginning, which was rough, bring the ver...

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Tinderbox thank you for continuing this story, I've been hooked for almost two years now. :) It's hard to believe we've been following this for so long. He started this two years ago?! It's only ever felt like a long time just when we were between updates. Seriously, though, you know it's a ...

Re: Nailgun Chat Thread

Now I'm curious, if I attach a rifled barrel to my nailgun, does it revert to pistol status? Or if the barrel is over 16" can I add a buttstock and have a nail-rifle? Maybe a smooth bore barrel over 18", and OAL over 26"? Since the ATF is threatening to classify nailguns as AOWs, and all. I don't k...

Seriously, can we put this imbicilic "excessive number of rounds fired" argument to bed nope  Eh, can't blame a monkey for trying, right? :D I mean, just because this is my bedside gun, everybody's gotta freak out or something... http://yaffacdn.s3.amazonaws.com/live/shooting/images/dmImage/S...

Thank us? No no no, thank you.

I really like the way you can feel the pace picking up...if this was available in an actual printed book (not if, but when...yes, yes, when...) I'm afraid I would not be able to put it down.

Keep up the great work, Tinderbox.

Re: 132 year old gun found leaning against tree

A quick Google search indicates Junipers live about twenty years, say the tree was ten years old when the rifle was leaned against it, it may have been there for about ten years, I'm guessing. Plenty of time to corrode like that, IMO. Just a guess based on Google info. A little more searching found...

Re: MINI 14 FLAME WAR continued

And so on. Backed up by physical evidence of the same, of course. If they think a single 22lr hit to the chest will kill you before you hit the ground, and this guy is hit by something bigger, and keeps presenting a threat, then this guy must be some sort of hulk/terminator hybrid, right? ( ;) ) So...

Re: MINI 14 FLAME WAR continued

Just pointing out that a bunch of shots to drop a target are going to be viewed as excessive. At what point should I stop shooting and allow Mr Badguy to do his thing? You are missing the point. Pot, kettle. (Obviously it's a different situation if you deliberately choose a less-effective weapon fo...

Whoops. ATF dun fucked up and made ever ISPC/USPA gun with a 'gas pedal' an AoW.

Re: MINI 14 FLAME WAR continued

Yes, you shoot to stop the threat. Good luck explaining that to a jury that might range from zero experience with guns (who believe a single 22lr hit to the chest will kill you before you hit the ground) Simple. Shot once. Dude kept coming at me. Still a lethal threat, still fearing for my life. Sh...

Re: Firearms Chat Part 2: Bullpups cause all the rage!

This letter is gonna get ATF sued, hard. How does holding something differently redesign it? So that will be if they do in fact end up suing, that three lawsuits of some sorts? I don't keep track. There's the MG suit, I think Sig is still suing over the muzzlebrake/baffle stack. There needs to be a...
