I'd definitely go back. I live in a suburb (relatively small) and I like to hike lightly, exept for my .44 and two reloads for it :) Not much hunting to speak of (thus no food) and winters suck.

Even if TSHTF, I wouldn't move to Canada. Alaska, maybe, but never Canada. Hollywood and I'll sure welcome a Blunderbuss! Mine: I think we're safe. (credit: Mike Malloran) Haha, watch me sneak up on Bear/Kyle! Sorry, I'm celibate. Ya know, I'm just really not in the mood for chocolate. Ah damn, I f...

Yes ,the Davey Crockett was real. It was moved out of inventory because you were in range of fallout of if warhead when launched. The Army also discovered that all infantry Officers would use it in battlefield conditions. That's why the Army and USMC don't get nukes. We would use them! I've heard t...

I shot precision air rifle in high school, and I just calculuated that a perfect score would only guarantee a 1.6 MOA. In prone I would regularaly score a 99/100, so basically 1.6 moa for me. Offhand was still pretty good, with an 88/100 (3.5 MOA). None of my present firearms have adjustable sights,...

My girlfriend's damn near allergic to everything. Particularly nuts, and peanuts worst. I'm not allergic to anything. My dad can't have penicillin or fresh fruit, and I may get that eventually. So your theory is that giving medicine for every ailment helps advance allergies? Fascinating. Would go al...

One guy yells at the zombie, and another comes up behind the Z and beans him with a crowbar. Then suck gas. I once ran out of gas just driving to Fairbanks (336 miles from here). That was embarassing, and I wasn't in danger of getting eaten. Though I did get yelled at by my girlfriend ;) Edit: Post ...

Yeah, I heard a story about this on the history or national geographic channel. Very lucky to survive a plane crash. I heard that they hated the idea of cannibalism. Also that it tasted sweet.

You have food and water for weeks without even touching your travel supplies. The building you are in is secure and the power/water is still working. What decision do you make, and why? Weeks of food and water? I've been on the run for weeks already? Yeah, screw leaving. Though, judging by the titl...

That sounds like a lot of perimeter to barricade. Making a second fenceline sounds good (secure for milking), and zombies supposedly ignore non-humans, so they can graze out in the rest of the land.

Math! Given formulas: S=Rθ (arc length equals radius times angle (in radians)) π/180 degrees = radians (there are 2π in 360°) Horribly rigged math problem: Find the arc length of one minute at 100 yards. One minute is 1/60th of a degree, or .0002908882 radians. 100 yards is 300 feet is 3600 inches....

Also, a lever-action in .500 S&W or .460 S&W.

Why did they shorten the barrel so much? I mean, 16.25" seems like it would nerf the power quite a bit, and for what? Their standard M1A is 22", and I don't think I'd want anything shorter than that.

They have the only completely left-handed AR 15! Image

DPMS makes one that ejects to the left, but everything stays the same. I saw a brand new one today at a gunshow for $775 and I totally should have bought it! Why didn't I?

And if you're hiking in Alaska or similiar, carrying a rifle is heavy and cumbersome, while a .454 Casull fits on your belt or chest. If you get suprised by a bear or moose who takes a violent disliking to you, the handgun is much faster to ready and fire than a rifle strapped across your back. I f...
