Re: Which Shotgun, Rifle and Four Wheel Drive?

Again if no EMP, '96 F250 powerstroke, Remington 1100 w/Choat shoulderstock/pistolgrip, 8 round tube extension and red dot, ant one of more than 20 rifles, and either my Suomi M31 or Ppsh 41. And my TNW ASR with all conversions. The springs of the F250 have been beefed up to handle the load of ammo.

Welcome back. Please liven this place up. Post often.

Opposite gardening problem here in the high desert of the Rockey Mtn. Foothills. Haven't poked holes in paper in months due to health, but have been making bullets and loading them for future trips.

Re: Apartment heating

Propane heaters even the catalytic type also pose a high fire hazard. Having a sealed vent out a window from a closed stove of some type would be preferable. Candles or wind up flashlights for lighting. You can live without the other mentioned tech.

Re: 200 million in path of major winter storm sweeping across US

My son was flying back from Dallas last night. He caught an earlier flight thinking he'd get home faster. His flight got to Denver placed in a holding pattern for runway clearance, then diverted to Amarillo. His origional flight diverted to Salt Lake. All this for what was predicted to be less than ...

Re: Several must read SCi-fi based Apocalyptic novels

"Zombie Road" series, by David Sipmson. Starts out slow building multiple characters. Book 5 & 6 are quite good. The main character is very flawed. You have to buy into synthetic bio being carried out after the fall. Good action.

Just paid for an M&P 12ga sabot slug mold. His molds are pieces of art. This one is a double cavity hollow base slug ment to be loaded in a shot cup. It is a clone of lymans mold.

Then a Glock 20, ( or 21 with conversion). And a TNW ASR with 10mm bolt and barrel. Use the same mags.

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

There's a reason 10mm auto barrels are 6" or longer. The factory ammo already produces a large flash and report. You would lose a lot of velocity with a 4" barrel.

Re: Parched Corn

Just like you used to pop popcorn. Skillet or pan small amount of oil or butter keep shaking. Season to taste. Was considered travel food along with jerky. It is best to parch your corn as you go. The kernal keep longer whole. Parching splits the bran and cooks the starch some. I have made it at ren...
