Re: Zombie books with a side of humor?

If you like ZA books and have an Amazon account, search for Bookbub.com Simply add your email address (to join) and then list ZA books as a genre you like. There are plenty of free ones to download. Deadbreak, by Jorge Sanchez, is pretty funny if you speak sarcasm. It was free. (Has zombies) For .99...

Re: Tactical bags that don't look like tactical bags?

Maybe it's the sniper training I received in the Marine Corps. Wow, I don't remember reading that before MOAB. Which school, what class? I may know you. Regarding bags, and modern tacticalnessity, one could simply buy a backpack that is not black, OD, or one of the browns. Or one could be creative ...

Re: What is your opinion on prepping?

I'm not a prepper. I don't answer to it. I don't use the word. (Exception: when typing that sentence) The idea of being prepared is what I was responding to...as I prepare to head out. Prepper: it's just a word that you can use and weight as you see fit. Everyone, everywhere is suddenly fascinated w...

Re: Study finds rise in Doomsday Prepping due to culture of fear

One study found... Snopes reports that... Research shows ... Someone always has an agenda or is trying to sell you something. My version of the truth is that smart people always prepare. For what, they might not know. Growing up, it was the threat of my dad being laid off from work with lots of mout...

Re: Has anyone heard of scaring sticks

Interesting. Came across them several times in books in the past few months. In Barbara Kingsolver's book, The Poisonwood Bible, a village in the Congo uses them to drive animals into a killing zone. In Thomas Berger's book, Little Big Man, the Human Beings (Cheyenne) use them to drive plains animal...

Re: The Coming Civil War

CIVIL: relating to ordinary citizens and their concerns, as distinct from military or ecclesiastical matters. I chuckle every time I see the "no politics" rule mentioned in threads about war. I think most people here get it: It isn't coming; rather, it is already here. I think of it being mainly fue...

Re: Group bug out project- recommended apps?

Sorry, can't help with apps. Apps seem to cause car crashes, people being run over or great falls from selfie spectaculars. Expect all transmissions to be closely monitored. Expect everyone that has a phone will use it at the same time. Don't expect electronics to work. Don't DEPEND on anything but ...

Finished a walkabout. Heard recently about all the dire warnings in Louisiana. Thought of this place and the few of you that could be adversely affected/effected/infected. Glad to find that all is well.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. The fade pic and the ballcap w/patch. TheContractor is nearly every greyman we dropped, or most of the people that apply, or cops or Nations Guard who stood on some post.

Lemond, if you found me again, I will pay up; but I quit.

Thanks for the detailed response, despite confirming what I knew but did not want to believe.
On the bright side, I'll learn to enjoy my wind jacket.

You never really stated your purpose for it but it seems to me like a Chiappa mares leg in .357 might be right for you.

Re: Need opinions on this rain gear?

Any suggestions on improving the inner lamination once it has delaminated? Spray? If "buy a new one" is the only option this doesn't help much. What is a 2d or 3d choice? I have a favorite light rain jacket (LL BEAN) that has done this but I have sentimental reasons for keeping it and great luck in ...

Thanks. I will find and watch it. One of my children's house and team mates at college is from Christchurch. Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

if, you wanted that AR as a working AR HA. This is the internet. Here are some ideas why: 1. For the cost of an original, or a retro, you can build one yourself and add a gunshow flashlight, 'scope,' broomstick, advanced quick-draw-super-claw-dual-fling sling, folding-super-mega-9-in-1 bipod, super...

Woods' - I say do it. Either an original as a collectible or a retro because you can. Don't let Raptor's personal bias against 90mph tape influence your decision. Enough wraps and that light will not move.

Yes. I just noticed in the upper half of the graphic it's actually 2 sizes shown. I don't think there is a small so that would be regular and large. More than one company makes them but they are essentially the same I would guess. The original is Swedish and TEO's link is right I believe. Also see h...

Re: Take down or traditional

I find it difficult to help without first asking more questions. So, what is purpose of tool you seek? This is main question. How important is weight? Do seek to carry it a certain way or simply conceal it, or both? Have you ever carried little strips of tape to keep pieces in place that you don't w...
