Re: Ram 1500 or Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Well I am not a big fan of Chrysler products so I would say no to both, but since you seem to like them I will say a few things about the Jeep. I had a 2004 Grand Cherokee that had issues. 1. electronic gremlins-this is pretty standard 2.brakes- the rotors kept warping and needed replacing pretty fr...

Re: Crescent arms 16 Gauge SXS

Crescent Arms was a firearm company in the Northeast that made shotguns from the 1890's to 1931. They were an inexpensive shotgun mainly sold in hardware stores.Based off reading from the interwebs I would bet your shotgun has a 2 9/16" chamber, which was standard for the 16ga before 1920. Please do...

You have to use spices for Lentils, Curry spice is a good move anything with a bit of heat will work.

Re: EMP car?

Yeah, I have a 5 speed and never worry about it getting stolen. This really only applies in the US but almost no one here of an age that typically steals cars can drive a manual. I lock my doors because I carry a pistol in the glove compartment but if I didn't I would leave it unlocked. You also get ...

Re: 2019 - Current Battle Rifles in 7.62x51

Well if you wanted to be different you could get an Ishapore Enfield. It's an Indian made 7.62x51 Enfield they made in the 60's. I own one and its a peach the bore is pristine (they are not usually fired much due to ammo restrictions). The stock has been repaired and is a little roughed up but it's ...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

I was never very good at Chemistry, however, would the accumulated chalk residue make an excellent humidity barrier for the stored ammo? Added two more .50 cal ammo cans to my collection. The previous owner had used them to store chalk, so I get to clean the residue of that out before I stick any am...

Unknown Gun

I was walking through the local gun store today when I came across something I didn't know existed. It's to expensive for my blood, but I thought I would post it here to see what the hive mind thinks. Chinese C-96 chambered in 45 acp. https://www.gunsamerica.com/UserImages/2441/934466900/wm_3368080....

Re: EMP car?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unless you live way out there in the wild, this is probably a waste of time. If you have a vehicle that runs and most vehicles don't run then it's going to get commandeered. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. So the local, state, federal, or ...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

For an all steel revolver these are pretty light and with that short barrel it could be a nice gentleman's coat pocket gun. I mean sure it doesn't have a half cock or a safety but just load eight and you're good. They literally don't make em like this anymore. :words: I paid 300.00 for it which I co...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

I paid 300.00 for it which I considered a little high but I did really want it. I got my date info from this forum https://www.thefirearmsforum.com/threads/age-of-a-h-r-922-9-shot-revolver.82009/ hope that helps. It's a classic and they don't male them like that anymore. :) Bought a H&R 922 revolver...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Bought a H&R 922 revolver in 22. It's a single/double action 22 with a 6 inch barrel and holds 9 rounds with fixed sights. It can fire 22 short, long, and long rifle. Based of the serial number it was made between 1949-1952. I shot a few 22 short rounds today and it was accurate. Pics are not mine b...

Downtown Memphis is not really a place you want to be. I know from experience. There are a few parts of Nashville like that but I thank the heavens it's not most of the city like Memphis has become.

The old fashioned emergency way to plug a leak in the radiator was to take a raw egg and break it open into the radiator and then fill with water. It's a temporary fix of course but will get you home.

I for one find it embarrassing the Indians were using Mig-21's for their incursion. Mig-21's came out in the 1950's. If we assume that they used the most effective (operational) attack planes for this then the Indian Air Force is a joke. To put it in context even the Syrian Airforce has better plane...

As the Browning takes the lead I was wondering why they didn't use dogs? I mean it takes a lot of the advantages from the enemy. A dog is gonna be way more agile in the cramped environment and it's senses are way better. If there is gunfire or the dog doesn't come back now we know what we are up aga...

I just had a thought about this. Imagine a town of people who for whatever reason all bought 500 S&W revolvers and all learning to shoot them on the day of the Zed apocalypse. That might be the most dangerous town in the world with bullets flying through houses and revolvers sailing out of hands. ho...
