Put a poly SKS on layaway today. Even the stock number matches. Does not have a bayonet, but it is in pretty good shape. Deal is ok, about the going rate for the guns these days.

Keltec p11 and 1 extra magazine as the gun only came with 1. But it did have the finger rest baseplate on that one 10 rounder. Extra mag was 12 rounds. Both were mecgar magazines. I also put an xd9 on layaway. And also won a gunbroker auction for 3 12 round factory magazines for my usp45f.

Re: What is your faviorite Defensive Pistol Caliber

My preference is for .45acp. But any quality 9mm, or 40 cartridge will do. My next pistol is most likely a 40 caliber sig 229. Then I want to add a 9mm to the collection so I have ammo options. Currently I have a 45.

Re: What are YOU currently lusting after? (firearms related)

Trying to decide if I should get an MKA 1919 shotgun or another pistol. Handled the shotgun and decided I want one, but not sure if I want it more than another pistol. Now if I go for a pistol I am trying to decided what pistol to get. XD9, sig p229 in 40, or something else. A local shop has an fnp ...

Re: The Official ZS DEBTSQUAD: BODY COUNT thread.

Car got paid off yesterday. Big debt remaining is some medical debt, altogether maybe less than a 1000 I think, student loan of roughly 4-5000, a credit card of 800ish. Trying to figure out which should be my next focus. And I also want to reward myself for my progress thus far.

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Picked up my USP 45f from the pawnshop, bought one box of ammo for a class tomorrow, which got canceled due to the snow we are getting. Class got pushed back 2 weeks. I also went to the doctor today and got some drugs for my bronchitis(health is an important part of being able to handle emergencies)...

Re: Army to Seek More Powerful Pistol

You know I find myself wondering which is worth more, the actual army contract, or the extra sales to everyone else that having the army contract would generate. Good point, it worked for the 1911 and M9. I think it must be viewed in light of the companies overall strategy. Glock very successfully ...

Didn't really do any work on my truck, but I got a 5 dollar oreilly card in the mail from buying parts in the past few months. Nothing major but better than a kick in the junk.

Re: Vehicle rifle rack

Shouldn't be too hard to take some measurements and weld up a rack for behind or under the seat that would be pretty secure. Probably cost less than 20 dollars in steel and hardware. But it probably wouldn't be very pretty. Fortunately my truck is pretty basic and old and ugly. My first idea is basi...

Re: Is the Ruger P90 a 1911 replacement?

I think of them as security guard guns. Well it's perfect for me then... it matches my Segway so nicely, and next time those punk kids try to steal all the gumballs from the food court, I will have a nice piece of stainless hip jewelry backing me up I have worked a variety of security jobs. The p90...

Re: Is the Ruger P90 a 1911 replacement?

My first pistol was a p90. Traded it towards a Colt 1991 many moons ago. A ruger p90 wouldn't be my first choice, but if I was looking for a budget gun I might look that way. I think of them as security guard guns.

Well my truck starts and runs now. Was down for a couple of weeks. Something in the starting system. Replaced nearly everything in the starting system except the positive cable and some associated wiring and the battery. Not sure what I did that fixed it, but it is running. I can replace the starter...

Re: What did you today for your BOV/how did you prepare your

Not my bugout vehicle, but I did drain the transmission fluid and pull the driveshaft on my project caddy. I didn't really have a bugout vehicle before, but I picked up a 1995 f150 4*4 with a 5 speed and 300 six back in september. Only cost me 600 dollars. But I have put a bunch of work into it. Rig...

Had to make a new account

I sent a pm to a mod(kyle according to my old phone) several months back, maybe even last year from my original account. Basically saying I had lost my password and couldn't retrieve it because of email issues. I can't even remember what email I had back when I signed up in 2007, it was just before ...
