Re: Organic tomato

Do you known Masanobu Fukuoka's Natural Farming?
Masanobu Fukuoka's 'The One-Straw Revolution'
His approach is probably the closest to a natural approach between the existing methods.

Re: Let's talk melee!

Machete Pro: for destroy them or cut eventual hands that grab you Never attack the hands of a zombie. A hand reaching out to you have very limited ability to infect you. If you hack at an arm you may create sharp protrusions (bone). If this bone pierces you're skin, you're infected. An edge weapon ...

I think goats and/or sheep can be regarded as a preferred solution for their smaller seize and eating habits.

Organic tomato

Do someone on the forum or friends has grown organic tomato? Which yields have obtained compared to more traditional methods? Here an idea: For the soil use: - rotation of the culture (for example with legume) - vermicompost - human piss plus water Assuming that you do not have available manure. Use...

We also have a moderate amount of debt from the baby, cars, school loans, etc. For the time being we'll have one to two hundred per month available for preps until we get all the hospital bills and such paid down. Meanwhile you clear the existing debt you can study different approach instead of spe...

Re: Jurassic scenario

'Regular ole' human sized zombies would be more trouble. I don't think so for various reasons: - the zombi have no brain, differently for what happen on living creature (regardless to its level of development) therefore can't evolve or act differently, put it simply are dumb and predicable - the zo...

Re: Polling My New Gun

I voted Hi-point carbine on the edition that use the 9mm caliber since from that list seem the solution more "flexible".
A long firearm isn't pratical but I don't like the list of handgun indicated on the pool.

Note:
My like thing is based on "estetic" (I known is absurd but whatever) and review.

With my luck, I'd get there 5 minutes before the giant asteroid that killed off all the dinosaurs hits...  Since between Extinction event pass time, and for sake of this game, think at that possibility as something remote to be taken into account by the future generations, with the adv...

Re: Jurassic scenario

If the vehicles can't get through the vegetation then the large dinos can't either. Right, but this pose other issue. Usually relative smaller animal are more agile, remain more difficult shoot between trees, high caliber as the .50 do not present the same maneuver as smaller portable solutions, di...

Re: Jurassic scenario

But first I must ask the question. Why are we going back to a time when dinos walked the earth? Some hints here . Plus can we choose the 'landing' spot for the portal? Essentially this portal is in an experimental stage from years and the evacuation is forced due to external causes without the poss...

Re: How many rifles for a group with 11 shooters.

I've a few other guns I've accumulated over the years but it's a hodgepodge (shotguns, couple .22 rifles, a 30-06, 10mm, 357, etc). If you friends have many handguns as you perhaps they could sell some one of them to buy more rifle. Anyway have you already thought at some technological mechanisms f...

Re: Jurassic scenario

Yeah but I don't known if they are edible and what kind of disease they can carry. So I think would be absolutely essential an autonomy of food for at least some few months at minimum. The flock has been raised to free range, wander the lawn and ajacent fields, I open the door to their barn in the morning, replenish their water, check their feed, then open the door to the run to let them out into the yard Since they are raised free range, how you are able to collect the eggs? Re: Jurassic scenario

The crew going through the portal could use the radio while the portal is open to ask history questions of the people who stayed back. Unlikely that there may be similar discussions during the clashes with dinosaurs and with so limited time for the coordination of the crossing. Might as well be hap...
