Re: Selling AK to consolidate to 5.56?

Having guns is various calibers may allow you to actually shoot if any particular cartridge drys up for a period of time. Having a .40 handgun that has a 9mm and .357 SIG bbl to go with it would give you some flexibility in shooting.

Re: My article on how to reduce lead exposure from shooting

From what I've read the biggest source of lead contamination for reloaders is tumble media. I work at an indoor range and I have high lead levels. I've had them checked. They are on the high/"safe" end for someone working in a lead industry. Or so the Dr's say. I've noticed my levels spike after I d...

Steve Harris did a show on the survival podcast not long ago on fuel storage. I remember he specifically mentioned storage for apartment dwellers. I'm not one so I don't remember all of it. Give it a listen. Lots of good info.

Re: a nice gift of ammo from my father

Would you be interested in parting with the empty box of talons? I'd like to use it in my CCW classes as a demo of what not to get for self defense. I already have the Magsafe pack that says "maximum lethality" and the Hornady Zombie rounds. Those will be very easy for a prosecutor to beat you with...

Re: "The Stand" by Stephen King *ZS Book Club[?] Spring 2012

I read this book in 1992 while I was stationed in Korea. This was the first book I had read of my own volition. It not only got me through a lot of boring times in Korea it hooked me on reading. Funny, last night for no reason and not having seen this thread I thought to myself "M-O-O-N, that spells...

I can swap you a plastic MEC reloading box or any 3 of other hp ammo boxes to keep the rounds in. I can also trade or buy it as you like.

Re: movement upon contact

Just as an aside-I once has a 1SG told me there is no such thing as "no cover". Effective fire, violence of action-even in the open-is cover. Its kind of hard to shoot back at someone who is bent on sending hate your way, effectively. Bullets are your cover, until you can get to something that will...

Re: a nice gift of ammo from my father

not too long my father tossed me a small box and asked "ya want these?" I looked down and he had tossed me a full box of Winchester 9mm Luger Black Talon SXT 147gr rounds. I know there is better ammo out there and that Black Talons have a stigma attached because of the media. about a month later i ...

Re: SHTF Handgun within legislative restrictons

Cannot carry it. Cannot defend myself or my home with it. The sole lawful reason I will have to own it is for competition... however I want something good for when law and order falls apart. The 19 and the 26 are too short barrel lengths for me to own. Ah yes, I forgot about your bbl length require...

Re: SHTF Handgun within legislative restrictons

Are you able to carry a handgun? Or is this to be a home/range gun? If you can't carry it weight is not as much of a factor. A heavier gun will be more fun on the range. Also if you are limited to 10 rounds and can carry it the smaller G19 or G26 would serve better. In the end your hand will tell yo...

Re: SHTF Handgun within legislative restrictons

I'm a Glock fanboy. I have carried one for about 15 years now (G19). I shoot the same gun I carry in IDPA and 3gun. I has served me well. But any gun on that list would serve you well. The question is which one fits you best? Hold each of them. Your hand may tell you which one is right for you.

All on Itunes. Harvest eating is more about what to do with it after you have grown it. Search for the gardening shows on the survival podcast.

Re: My Inheritance (pictures added)

As far as the reloads go, I'll sit on them for a while, what kind of dangers am I looking at? Would they be safer fired in a pistol, where the mag could be blown out the magwell? . You may not be in any danger or it could blow up the gun.... or somewhere in between. That's the thing. If you do not ...

Re: Look at what Bubba did

I wonder if anyone makes a replica of them? I dont know of anyone making them. I have had ideas of doing it myself over the years. You would have to make it to run in a more common rifle and with common ammo to sell many of them though. The original Pederson Device ran a special ammo that is as rar...
