Re: The Domestics

Just watched it. Took two sittings. Not saying it's terrible, I thought it was overall good. Reminded me of a mixture of "The Road" and "The Warriors" but definitely not "The Road Warrior" lol. I say it's above average but def not a future classic. Also, the wife is the worst throughout the movie ev...

Re: Considering buying an SKS, but...

I'll have to look my Norinco over and see if there are any off markings that may help.

Would it be a bad time to say I just bought another very nice Norinco from a pawn shop for under $300.... Deals are still out there if you get lucky

Re: I'm moving to Alaska.

Interesting thing about prepping up here, with earthquakes, volcanos, storms, Russian invasions, and shipping issues, prepping is pretty mainstream. Even my new hire orientation at the hospital had a small part about stocking up on food and water in case of a yearly emergency. And if not, the mounta...

Now that you've been in Anchorage for a while, what do you think of our little burg?
Ask me when it's officially summer. Haha

Overall I like it. Pros and cons obviously

But drivers are the worst. I avoid a collision almost daily commuting from Eagle River

Any know a good spot for Glock 23 slides and parts? I don't want a .40, but it'd be nice to get a .40 barrel, .357 barrel, and 9mm barrel to be a multicaliber SHTF beater gun You’re welcome: https://www.glockmeister.com/GlockBarrelCompatibility.asp 9mm: https://www.glockmeister.com/Storm-Lake-40-SW...

Any one notice Springfield Armory no longer has "Grip Zone" on some of their pictures for Mod2 XD and XDS.

If so, about time!

Kinda reminds me of a Pepishaw... Re: Two CZ Clones Added Today

Interesting. Is the SAR B6P close enough to the CZ75 to use Kadet kits? I'm pretty sure it is not... since the SAR is a copy of the Witness which is a copy of the CZ. But then again, I don't have a Kadet kit or else I'd try. And I don't have a full size SAR B6 anymore, only the compact Interesting ...

Re: I'm moving to Alaska.

Block heater for the jeep? Not super needful in South Central AK/Anchorage area. Mileage varies further north in the Interior. Mostly agreed as far as Anchorage goes, I was going to get a more temporary one for the drive up as it was -40 in some areas on the AlCan. Then again, most apartment comple...

I dunno if it's been out for a while, but KelTec dropped a new single tube bullpup... the KS7. Basically half a KSG. MSRP at $495. Looks pretty cool.

Working on Black Summer. Overall a fan of the filming style. And compared the most modern shows, I had about half the "eye rolling" as normal so it's above average

An extended mag for a Glock 42...a gun I don’t even own! Taking the wife to the range to try one (rental) in our continuing search for the perfect purse gun for her. Tried the Springfield 911 and Sig 238, but both were too “snappy” for her, and she’s still not comfortable shooting a 9mm in any flav...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Ruger's got the PC carbine in .40S&W now. I wonder if there's a technical reason for no 10mm or .45ACP yet. I think they might need a new platform for it. Same as with most handguns, there's 9mm and .40 on one platform, then .45 and 10mm on another. But Ruger is also good on slowly rolling out prod...

I really want a classic looking revolver...

I would love a 1917 in .45

But I really like the lines of the GP100 match Champion with 1/2 lug barrel

Re: Black Summer and The Silence on Netfix

Watched The Silence last night... pretty decent flick overall. Lots of cliches, rehashed themes, and little originality (especially when compared to A Quiet Place)... but still very enjoyable overall. Don't compare it to A Quiet Place though, as Quiet Place is much better... but it's hard not to do ...

I know my mom likes her AeroGarden, she uses it for basic herbs and makes her own seasonings. I think that's a good start.

From there, you can always beef up the veggie growing with more hydroponic systems... ironic pun intended.

Then again, I know nothing about any of that stuff

Just a friendly reminder to everyone (including myself) that antibiotics don't work on viruses. So true Flu won't be helped by antibiotics (z-packs that everyone always asks for). However, a cocktail shot of goodies can help if the diagnosis is not 100% certain. Like thinking it's the flu but it's s...

Was the Hi power used in the WWs? Hi Power was only in WW2 as far as I know since it was made in '35. Then again, don't tell Indiana Jones that since he had one in the 20's :ooh: I think the 1911 and .45 both have a huge cult following. I don't hear it as much in the last 5 years since the meme war...
