This wins with ambi controls and a left hand ejection port. What barrel length is this?
It's 8", about as short as you can get it and still have it threaded.

Re: Remington R25 308? yes, no, does anybody have any compla

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd wager the lower-end .308s don't get shot enough to suss out the problems that come with using an aluminum gas block due to the higher cost of ammo and heavier recoil. The higher-end .308s seem better built. The higher-end DPMS 5.56 rifles may well run like a top, but...

Well, if you like the idea then I see no reason not to get one. I'd just make sure you see it in person before buying.

Re: Modern pistol caliber 9mm carbine?

The TNW ASR is a really nice option, I really like mine... - rugged and overbuilt - very reliable - Glock mags - accepts optics - convertible to multiple calibers (9, 40, 45 and soon 22lr and 22 mag) - uses AR-15 furniture - easy to SBR (upper is serialized) - easy to suppress I had a S2k but sold i...

Re: TNW ASR SBR

Looks good Domino! Can't wait for the range report. Thanks. I actually took it out yesterday and I fired 300 rounds through it and it ran perfectly. I have to say that it is surprising how much more fun it is to shoot as a SBR. The shorter length, improved weight distribution, and louder report mak...

Re: TNW ASR SBR

Every time I turn away from the pistol caliber carbine there is something to pull me back. That looks like more fun that a whore house. What's the shortest Glock mag it will take? Like a G19 size? Yes, it is a ton of fun to shoot. The second picture is shown with a G19 magazine with plenty of room ...

+1 on some low recoil buck for that, I am partial to the Fiocchi reduced recoil buckshot myself. The Turkish guns aren't too bad, I had a Hatsan MPA for awhile and I like it but I sold it when I needed some money. Overall, it was a pretty good shotgun, hopefully yours serves you well.

Have you done a full review of the rifle in general? I like the concept, but I haven't seen an extensive review yet. Yeah, I did one awhile back when I first got it. TNW ASR SBR

Well, my stamp finally got approved and I just got it back from the gunsmith. Caliber is 9X19, takes Glock mags, barrel is chopped @ 8", and threaded 1/2X28. This thing handles great now and I can't wait to get it out and run it. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a57/Mudd262/tnw1_zpseaf685a5.jpg I al...

Thanks for the information. It looks like it might take a little while to work out some of the teething issues like the magazine and barrel wear but this is pretty common with any new gun coming on the market.

Re: Remington R51 sub compact 9X19 +P

Here's a good video (though kinda long) that compares the R51 to the G26 and G19 @ ~29 minutes in. It is pretty definitive that the R51 is closer to the G26 in size (rather than the G19) being slightly longer but a good bit thinner.

Re: Ruger LCR 22 Mag

I don't have experience with the LCR-22 mag but I do have an LCR-357 and I have shot multiple 22 WMR pistols. The LCR is a great little carry piece and I would recommend it. However, my take on the 22 WMR handguns with <5" barrels is that they are very noisy and the performance isn't any better than...

Re: Remington R51 sub compact 9X19 +P

I'll bite one last time: not sure how a top down picture of the two pistols on top of each other is a weird angle, especially when you post these two horribly different angles as your refute. I dunno how much stock you own in remington  , but they look pretty similar in size. But, again if you...

Re: Remington R51 sub compact 9X19 +P

What are you talking about? The R51 is not the size of the G19 it is much closer to the LC9 or Shield and if you ever handle guns that size you will understand the difference. I have a G19 and love it but it feels like a brick and the G26 is a chunky little bastard. The grip on the R51 is not even ...

Re: Remington R51 sub compact 9X19 +P

Well your picture shows it being nearly as large as a 19 and definitely larger than a 26, both of which have more capacity. The 19 weighs less, is just over .5 inch longer/.~3 inch higher... and holds 16 friggin rounds. What is the benefit of this marginally smaller pistol for such a large drop in ...

Re: Remington R51 sub compact 9X19 +P

Also, don't forget that the R51 has a 4-5lb single action trigger when a lot of other comparable pistols have horrid triggers. This pistol may not be the smallest carry piece out there, but it looks to be a lot more controllable and shootable.

Re: 1 mile shot - .338 Lapua Magnum

Nice weapon and good shooting. The .338 is a great choice for long range shooting and your video further demonstrates that. Looking at a ballistics/trajectory calculator the 338 has about the same energy @ 800 yards that the .308 has point blank.

Re: Semi-Auto .308?

How would you feel about using this in a Battle Rifle role? Say fighting with a non-magnified RDS or low powered 1-4x from 25 to 500 meters? I think it can fill that role pretty well and as good as any AR type weapon can. That is one of the reasons I went with an AR platform 308, because it is high...

Re: Semi-Auto .308?

How does it shoot with a warm barrel? Thats a great group, but Im curious about an average. 5 consecutive 5 shot groups. Nice rifle. Thanks, when the barrel heats up after 20-40 rounds or so most groups stay within the .75 - 1 MOA range with match ammo. With military style ball or steel case groups...
