Re: Looking for negative Cominolli safety reviews/experience

Instead of cutting the frame for an external safety, maybe adding the New York trigger would be a good solution. It bumps up the pull from 5.5 to 8 lbs, thus more revolver like. And I believe that there's even a NY trigger plus, but I'm not sure what that trigger pull is.

Oak Grove Trading Post

Just a heads up to the Central Arkansas ZS'rs...There's a new surplus store out on the Highway 365/MacArthur Drive called the Oak Grove Trading Post. It's address 8613 MacArthur Drive. If you need camping or hunting gear, or surplus military packs and stuff, check 'em out. And it's owned by a fellow...

Re: Any FN Five Seven owners here (retorical)

I chose the FN PS-90 over an M-4 for my home defense rifle. Shocking to some, but I have my reasons. First off, the M-4s are unwieldy to me. As are most long-guns. I have a high spinal-cord injury that makes it very difficult for me to fire a rifle in my chair. The PS-90 is a LOT less unwieldy than ...

Re: Which Would You Choose?

G19. On my continuing quest for the perfect handgun, almost thirty years and counting, the G19 is one pistol that's always been there. I've had all of the above mentioned pistols, plus many more, and I've had G19s come and go, several times, but it seems I always come back to them. And now I own thr...

Re: Glock 35 CCW Shoulder Holster: Advice?

Kutter, the Galco rigs are great if you can stand them. A LOT of people can't. I have had both the Miami Classic (had it for a Sig P228) and the Jackass rig (that one is for GLOCKs, and I still have and use it). The Jackass rig will hold all the GLOCKs, from the G26-27, to the G17L and G24 with the ...

Re: Next meeting?

We had a meeting and a clean-up of the NLR river trail way back in 2010. Had a hotdog cookout afterwards too. About half a dozen folks showed and we had a good time. Since then interest, at least in the central Ark area, seems to have faded a bit. Not sure if folks have moved, found other things to ...

Dang, it kinda looks like interest in the Arkansas chapter is fading... :( Seems like we have enough folks in this state to keep a chapter going. Although, maybe we're just too spread out.

BHP > SIG > USP > Glock > M&P > XD What? If it's going to be your main "fighting" pistol then I'd say save the extra for the M. If it's going to just be another pistol in a collection doesn't really matter. Hi-point > BHP > SIG > USP > Glock > M&P > XD  Holy crap, that literally made me LOL! ...

Kutter: Nice brace of G35s.

Glad the wait was worth it, TLRM, you got a sweet pistola.
And with the twenty bucks worth of cans and bottles, back then, they probably woulda bought you a box of .357 Sig!

Re: Opinions on Sig 2022

A friend of mine used to own a sigpro 2340 in .357 sig. It was a very good shooting pistol. If the 9mm 2022 is as good as the early sigpro, it's a damn fine pistol.

I'm gonna say go with the G-19, fwiw. It's a great handgun. Small enough to conceal, lightweight, low recoil, and high capacity.

Re: Glock 19 reviews please

You will not find a better all around pistol than a Glock 19. Look at the RTF II. I like the texture on that frame better than the gen 4. I have a Gen 3 and Gen 3.5 (I refuse to call them RTF IIs since they came out before the Gen 4 RTFs. Rant ended) The Gen 3.5 is the best shooting GLOCK I have. I...

Re: Ruger P series pistols

Ditto, to everything abacus wrote. And yes, the first pistol I ever bought was a Ruger P-85. Then, a couple months later Ruger had a recall on them. Don't get me wrong, Ruger's 22 pistols and rifles, and centerfire revolvers are awesome. But, I will never have another Ruger centerfire auto, and that...
