Re: War Belt / Battle Belt Holsters and Mounting Options

Picked one of these up recently, sits nice and tight to the belt, seems to hold the pistol well.

Re: S&W M&P 15 Sport

A buddy of mine was looking to get his first AR, I was edging him towards the S&W. He ended up getting the newly released Ruger AR556 that he just happened to come across at a LGS. The S&W seems like a very good cheap rifle, but you get more features on the Ruger and it seems to be very well built f...

So...is this a real Russian TT-30 or is it one of the clones? I've got a Romanian TTC, biggest upgrade I made was a set of Tokagypt grip panels. makes it feel like a whole different gun.

Re: Kel tec sub 2000

I looked for one at gun shows for about a year, then asked a local gun shop if they ever get them in. He said "Yeah, I have a brand new one in the back". Never seen one on display there before. So I walked out with a Glock mag 9mm Sub2k for $275 OTD. I was happy as a clam. Keep looking, they are out...

Re: Picked up a Mosin Nagant 91-30

You just have to keep your eyes open. I've purchased about 4 or 5 in the last year (91/30's, 44's, and 38's) and none of them took more than $100 out of my pocket.

Careful... They tend to multiply.

I bought my first at a yard sale a few years ago now I have nine of them.

Re: Street legal enduro dirtbike.

My only experience with enduros was with a mid 70's Suzuki TC185, and an '85 XR350r, but from that I would say that a 350 should be your minimum size if you plan on taking it on normal roads (i.e. 55-60MPH) my 350 could do 60 but it was not at it's best power band and didn't have anything extra over...

Re: The Walking Dead Campfire ending

Just a time thing, it would take forever to wait for shamblers to follow you all the way out to the boonies where the camp was. Especially since they attacked the camp just before the "rescue" party returned.

Re: The Walking Dead Campfire ending

It's been touched on in this thread already, but the two points that really bother me are the tents and seeming scarcity of weapons. Tents have to be THE worst idea for shelter considering there should be thousands of deserted hard sided campers in the suburb areas for the taking. Grab campers one b...

Re: Monsters 2010

They had a preview showing on Xbox Live, it wasn't what it seemed it should be. More about the relationship between the main characters, with an alien backdrop, kind of boring. Although there were a few parts in that preview I didn't recognize, so maybe they added some stuff.

Re: CZ52 and tokarev round counts?

The rumors that I always heard were only pertaining to a certain Czech round, the ones packaged in pink paper wrapping, is this also wrong? Round count on Toks and 52's would be difficult to determine anyway since they are used surplus pistols in most cases, they could have already had thousands of ...

Re: My over the top tok.

Frankly I'm surprised at myself for liking the thing at all. I'm normally a hardcore "don't Bubba a milsurp" kind of guy. But for some reason, this Tok just sidesteps all that, and is really nice for some reason I can't put my finger on. Maybe because it was done in a classy way and not just "bubba...

Re: Glock 17 for $380

I'd say that's a good price for a G17. The market is pretty well flooded with LEO G22s at the moment, that's why they are so cheap. I'd get it if I could inspect it first hand and looked ok.

Solar battery bank in the basement?

I'm toying with the idea of getting started in the solar game. My starter plan is to have the solar setup power a set of isolated 12V (for simplicity and lower energy loss) lighting throughout my home for emergency lighting, I also have a power inverter in case I need some 120 AC. My issue is I want...

That rattle is probably the same thing as mine, CR123's are a bit small since the body is built to also hold 18650 cells. I wrapped my 123's in some black tape to make up the difference.

Re: Best current AK value/bargain?

sloppy tolerances (even for AKs), mismatched parts, poorly heat treated receivers, magazine wobble, improper barrels are all things that you will find even on "good" wasrs. These things will effect performance. So no even a good WASR is never going to compare to Valmet...ever! A WASR is crude and w...
