Radio net script

This is a script that is suitable for use with the ZS Radio Net. The scripts are almost identical replacing words like "channel" for CB instead of "frequency" for ham. It can be adapted in a similar fashion for any other communication technologies.

Ham Script

This is amateur radio station <phonetic callsign>, my name is <name>,
and I am transmitting from <location>.  I will be your Net Control
Station for this evenings ZS Amateur Radio Club Net.

This is a directed, informal Net which meets every <day of week> at
<time> on Echolink U-NODE <and local frequency, if any>. The purpose
of this net is to familiarize ZS Hams with Net operations which will
be helpful in times of emergencies and to promote Ham Radio in this
area.

This net may be interrupted at any time for emergency or priority
traffic.  If you need to break in, simply give us your call sign,
tell us what you need, and we will suspend the net until you tell us
you are clear.
    <pause a few seconds to allow emergency traffic to break in
     - proceed if none or when clear>
At this time, we will begin check-ins with mobile and short time
stations only. Please give your call in standard I-T-U phonetics, name,
and location. If you hear a station that you need to contact, just say
"CONTACT" when you hear the station and Net control will recognize you
after mobile and short timers. Mobile and short time stations please
call now.
    <members that are mobile or short time identify themselves now>
We will now begin our regular check-ins. Please give your Callsign,
name, and location and if you have traffic or business for the net. 
At this point, we will start taking normal check ins. Callsign
suffixes Alpha through Lima, please call now.
     <acknowledge all call members of that call group. Be sure to
      clean up any doubles you may have run across.>
I will now take check ins from callsign suffixes Mike through Zulu.

10 minutes.>

CB Script

This is the ZS Radio Net.
My name is <name>, my handle is <ZS_username>. I will be your Net Control Station for this evening's Net.

This is a directed, informal Net which meets every <day of week> at <time> on this channel. This net is a 
production of the ZS Radio Society and is open to all ZS members. The purpose of this net is to 
familiarize ZS members with Net operations which will be helpful in times of emergencies and to promote 
Radio in this area.

At this time, we will begin check-ins with mobile and short time stations only. Please give your ZS handle,
name, and location. If you hear a station that you need to contact, just say "CONTACT" when you hear the 
station and Net control will recognize you after mobile and short timers. Mobile and short time stations 
please come now.

please come now.
