Bug Out Gear

Bug out gear is any gear that would complement or be in your bug out bag or vehicle. For instance, some people have bug out vests which they use to keep items that would need to be readily available or items that you might want to have with you in the event you need to leave your BOB somewhere. Most everything you have in your bug out bag is going to be your bug out gear.

Item Lists
The following lists are ideas for you to consider and are obviously NOT mandatory. Your bug-out gear needs to be tailored to your needs so what works for one person, may not be right for you and vice versa. Note that many of the items listed are redundant, such as a tent, bivvy sack, and Hammock shelter OR water purification tablets, water filters, and a means to boil water. Many individuals follow the "two is one, one is none" rule and prefer to have redundancy while others choose to minimize their equipment for maximum mobility.
