Beretta PX4 Slim/Stealth Controls

Postby OkieZombies » Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:29 am

Supposedly according to the interwebs you can swap out the standard PX4F safety/decocker for one that is less-obtrusive and converts your gun to the "decocker only" configuration. Anyone know where to get one? Consensus seems to be that its the way to go.

I like my PX4 but I wish I had the constant action model.... but if swapping a safety will take off those mean meat hooks (I mean the safety levers), and make it TDA w/out safety.... I guess that's an improvement.

Basic F-to-G model conversion.

Installation of low profile controls would follow a somewhat similar set of directions, IIRC.

First part supplier I found: http://www.olhasso.com/PS/px4.htm. Can't say if he's legit.

Doesn't Beretta sell this stuff? Any reason you didn't just buy a G model?

Actually with hindisight I would want a C model.

The reason I didn't.... first handgun purchase. Didn't know what I really wanted. Thought that having a redundant number of safeties combined with an empty chamber was the way to go

Olhasso is legit. He's very highly considered over on Beretta Forum (my first venture into the world of forums).

The PX4 C is what I have. Its more like a Glock than a DAK in that its not double action, but is a constant trigger pull each time. Lighter than a double action, but heavier than single.

Want to trade? I don't think Beretta does conversions on F models - nor does their customer service return emails.

Beretta hurt my feelings by never replying to my two e-mails. So I will probably shun them and go elsewhere. I'm going to look at some of the Sig DAK's and baby Glocks today.

With their multimillion dollar DOD contracts they are just too important for the little guy I guess.

Call them.

Email is a management standard because it never goes anywhere and everybody can avoid responsibility for things through it, not because it actually works.
