Here's an odd question for you guys:

Does anybody know if the Sigma SW9VE will accept 59 Series magazines? I think I remember seeing somewhere online that it could, but cannot find anything.

I don't think the mags are interchangeable, but I don't know for sure.

If they are, that would be very interesting.

Offhand, I can only recall three other weapons that accept S&W 59-Series magazines.

- KelTec Sub2000
- Marlin Camp 9
- Daewoo DP51/DP51c

Based on a quick visual, I'm going to say the M59 and Sigma are non-compatible.

Alright, thanks guys! It kinda makes sense, I mean why would they market two different magazines at two different price points if they're swappable? Oh, well...

I don't have either so I may be making this up, but its the internet so I'll give it a shot. They may be interchangeable with a slight modification to the mag. There are several firearms that use the same size mag body. The only real difference is the notch for the mag release. Beretta 92/sig 226/s&w 59/walther p99 and others, the sw9ve may be one of them. A new notch can be very carefully cut to make them function in different guns. It needs to be pretty precise, it doesn't take much to overcut it. I've used Beretta mags sucessfully in my sig.

If Hoppy is correct and the angle is also different then disregard everything I said.

I was looking at one of these, but for normal capacity this seems to be a good price.

Damn, thought it might be too good to be true. Mags are expensive...

I agree, the angle does look slightly off on the feed lips, dunno if it'll be a big enough difference to cause issues though. Also, the nitch (based upon holding a magazine up to my monitor) looks about the same to me, so...I dunno. :?

Never put it past a manufacturer to use parts already in production with minor variations (like the buttplate angle)
