Knife Close Quarters

For those who live in areas where firearms are not an option and those that are smart enough to have a back up.

A) If you think you're stabbing a zombie through the temple, or any other piece of solid bone, you're dreaming.

B) If you think that you are going to be able to stick a knife into a target as small as an eye, when your adrenline is pumping and fine motor skills are gone, good luck.

A good knife is irreplaceable, but not to fight the undead.
Strap on your weapons and reinforce your means of travel.

C'est la (un)vie!

I live by the motto that "a knife is a tool, not a weapon". Better to carry more ammo and use your knife for cutting nylon, opening stuff and skinning game.

All my knives are pretty hefty, each with a handle strong enough to put a nice dent in a solid piece of oak.

Forget stabbing the beast, all my knife fighting revolves around the intended target bleeding out...nothing whatso ever allows for an effective head strike...unless I want to be stupid enough to give a zombie a nice hug so I may plunge a knife into the base of the skull...no

Shove, maybe wack the sucker in the head with the pommel, haul ass away...

Tool and weapon, but crappy weapon against the undead. Now for raiders on the other hand...
