Yeah. I just got a new Mossberg, and I'd like to test it out. I should be having a break in school during that period. But I'd need a ride, considering evne owning a car in this cramped place is nearly impossible.

Well, I sold a couple of my guns...

But I used that to buy a motorcycle :) Any chance of another range/motorcycle trip?

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I just accepted a job offer in Bozeman, Montana. It was good to go shooting with a couple of you, but for the next month I'll be packing up my house and moving up to the Rocky Mountains.

Hey, uh, I got an idea. We're uh...philanthropists, right? We live in California, there's a disaster in progress, why not go down there and give them some stuff? Give firefighters food and water, send the evacuees blankets, money, or parcels, or something. I'm already sending things down for my family, and I'll be down there for a weekend or two. Sound good to any of you?

It sounds great to me, except I'm way up in NorCal... I find it comical when people call me from other states asking if I'm okay because of the fires they heard about. It's like me calling someone in Dallas asking about how they survive the gang problems in El Paso.

So it's kind of far for me... :-/

I just got back (hours ago) from a week of volunteer work in NOLA, and when asked where I was from, and I replied CA, they said that pretty soon, people from NO would probably start coming to CA to help rebuild.

As for helping out in So Cal, I am tapped out of vacation time, and as you can see in my post above, I am moving to MT in November.

HOWEVER, I think it is a great idea. Just be sure to hook up with a bonafide group (IE Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc.)

No. I was asleep. I don't think Vallejo got too much of a shake, but it was a big 'un!

I was probably closest of the group to the epicenter, was a fun ride, knocked over a couple of my models, made it a pain in the ass at work when I got there (I worked grave last night), otherwise nothing too major. Got a lot of traffic on the ham bands for a little while though :)

I felt it very well. It was only a couple miles away from me.

But it was a small quake anyways. A 5.6? Please.

I enjoyed it, was good to have an interesting shakeup for once :). It only became a pain when I went in to work and had to deal with the stupid people freaking out.

Quake or not, stupid people are always a pain. And from what you told me about your work, you have some real winners there.

Welcome to California: where people get frantic and stupid over nothing.

Give me a 8.5 or something like that. THEN you can start freaking out.

If there are any nor cal events going on let me know. There is a great place for a gathering just north of me in ukiah. Cow Mountain has a campground and a outdoor range.

*prods some life back into this old post* I haven't been around much in a long while mostly due to a rather life beating of a work schedule, but I'm slowly building up a good OLL Rifle and was wondering if there were any ZS members still floating around the south bay for some good shooting sometime. >.> <.<

South bay here, where the 110 and the 105 meet. Anyone around that would like to get together?
