The British postal service .... we use the term service rather loosely in this case.

Take whatever you imagine a postal service to be, then staff it entirely with clones of the most useless, idiotic and incompetant person you know. All letters are valued on size, weight, desired speed of delivery, colour, scent, wind direction and the roll of a d20. If you fail to put enough stamps on your letter to pay for the random pricing then it will be kept at a central postal office miles away from it's intended recipient where it will be held ransom for a random amount of money for a fortnight. At the end of this time it will be destroyed with fire and the ashes will be smeared on the postmasters naked body in some wierd orgy ritual, unless it rattles or feels like it has money in it. In which case it will be distributed evenly amongst the staff. Thats assuming it gets there in the first place. 1st class mail service has become so slow and sporadic that sending something 2nd class is often faster and more reliable. 1st class used to mean next day. Now it means, and I quote, "In a week or something." All of this is dependant on the postman not stealing your package, parcel or letter in the first place though. A postman was recently arrested in Cardiff for stealing 3000 mailed items because he was "depressed". Somehow stolen birthday money made him feel less depressed.

So all in all I have a less than terrific view of the Royal Mail service because everything I just wrote, with the exception of the fire orgy ritual, is true. Theres a reason everyone uses Email these days.

Jen just got this response after a week, even though it says "Please allow 6-8 for us to get the membership packet out" in the e-mail confirmation." It will usually only take a few weeks though, now that we have a better system is in place.

Remember, this is a volunteer gig for us so please give us the time to get it out. We really really appreciate your support but on the other hand we will probably just refund you and move on if you are being a pain in the butt.

hey i purchased my zombie hunter membership a little over a week ago. im wondering when i'll get my id and all the other crap and when will it say member on the forums?

<USER ID REMOVED> on the forum.

or if you were going to send anything at all. let me know cause if im not getting anything id like a refund. but if so awesome cause i cant wait! I also dont know how to work the zombiehunter email either. which i definately would like to learn to use cause i dig the email address.

Well, I know I sent a couple of E-mails to Jen, but I'd like to think I was more polite and patient than that bloke/ gal

And that's perfectly fine. We like e-mails. Just don't be rude. :)

Nope, rudies will be drawn and quartered after being flogged with a sjambok.
