Other provisions not covered above that may make survival easier if your life is tossed out of the norm. This section is for discussing everything from arc welders to underwear.
I recently came across one of the strangest uses for an AR15 Picatinny Rail Carry Handle that I have ever seen.
Have you heard about the Battle Mug? Or does anyone here own one? I am curios if they are nice or just more of a gimmick? Granted, there is a certain amount of novelty there, but are they useful for anything besides drinking liquids?

A quick and easy way of saying "I have more money than sense" or "I am an idiot with too much money"
Don't confuse a belligerent and aggressive attitude with the strength, training, and conditioning needed to prevail in a fight. How do you know you have the Will To Win, if you don't even have the will to train?
Right on. I was wondering if they were any good or....you know what I mean? BTW, Whats an FAK Survivor Garden?
They're clickable links, the first is my First Aid Kit from a FAK throwdown we had here years ago and the second is a raised bed no-dig garden I built for someone. I really should update my sig with things like the review I did of my Scrapyard Dogfather CG, etc, etc.

People that bought them are a good targetmarket if you want to sell your leftover A2 carry handle after a build though.
GMCC, I think they're just an expensive fun novelty.

That garden sounds really cool. Smaert idea, plus the food tastes much better than "store-bought". What do you normally put in your FAK? Do you prep for GSW, SW's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd D Burns...and so on?

You mean A3 Carrying handle... A quick and easy way of saying "I have more money than sense" or "I am an idiot with too much money"

Ahhh Yes, but that would be logical. I can't give in to "logic", that would make sense. I am adamantly opposed to making sense. (Seriously though, I'm about to click on it.)

Cool, enjoy. (The Gardening one's probably better reading though).
I've thought more about the incredibly expensive Battle Mug.
Seems to me it's a thing for tactical industry insiders to give to each other, kind of like a weird challenge coin. I'm willing to bet the ridiculously high retail price is just that, the price to outsiders or regular folks. You see them all the time in the background in pictures in various tactical industry blogs etc as a kind of an in-joke, Optics-Planet even included one in their hilarious spoof Zombie Preparation Package (only $23,999.00 or whatever it was, lol). A lot of people didn't get that joke either. Fact is the BattleMug has all the cliched shit on it that makes something "tactical", it has rails, is made of one piece billet alumnum or whatever and has an oversized strike bezel, for industry guys who aren't paying the massively inflated price (I think the massively inflated price is part of the joke, actually) it was funny as fuck when it came out.
edit to add: optics-planet video...
^ Yep, some people thought they were serious.

All aluminum anodized products, including cookware and eating utensils should be cleaned using a mild detergent and warm water. The use of automatic dishwashers should be avoided because the dishwasher detergents are very high in alkalinity (Calgon pH 9.9; Electrasol and Finish pH 11). Strong alkaline solutions are used to strip anodic coatings and in time will permanently damage the anodized finish.
(Plus, we're pretty sure that the pure badassery of Battle Mug will absolutely destroy your dishwasher!!!)
