Proper name for a group of zombies?

I propose, for lurkers-
1-5, Childsplay to handle, Lurker, or 'Camper' (throwback to video games)
Dozen or two, give or take ie, a manageable number- 'Office' (as was mentioned)
25-100, or an unmanageable number- Fubat (I liked that one)

And for the 'roamers'/'walkers'
5-20, Stagger (since they move around more)
20-50, Horde/Herd
50+ Shitstorm

I like it but it's to complicated. We don't have to count the fish to determine if its a school or class or study group. IMHO it should be one word to cover all types and quantities.

I would just call them what they looked like.
For example:
"Oh shit! Half naked face fucker is coming for a visit!"
"A big group o' shitters are over there."
"How many times have I told you? Shoot the asschompers in the HEAD!"
"Kim Jong-Il lookin' douche outside the door."

Here's one then... "Look, an outbreak of hotty Hooters zombie chicks!"

Actually, a clusterfuck of zombies is a subset of groupings that collectively are considered large enough to constitute a horde. The term clusterfuck is reserved for situations when a horde is attempting (usually without much success) to move through places like revolving doors, subway turnstiles or a water park tube slide. Taking some time to watch a clusterfuck of zombies is an important tool in maintaining morale in a zombie apocalypse.

Small wandering group - A few zombies

= a troupe of zombies, not to be confused with a troop of zombies, which is much larger.

If they form up in one area and create their own "civilization" and have a bit of intelligence (or a hive mind thing)
Gaint Group - Colony or Hive (Maybe a Mindf*** of zombies? ...no guess that joke only works once)

= an institute of zombies

Small Group - Pack

(with a bit of intelligence or hive mind thing, per above) = a stink-tank of zombies.

i would say coffle.
coffle -line of animals or slaves fastened or driven along together.
real word used to define humans as animals/ herds.
Horde comes from the Mongol which would call their ranks hordes ( like a platoon or squad) and i think they form groups in the 100.

While I have never seen a zombie IRL, I have seen much clusterfuck. If we choose the term "clusterfuck" - and I think we should - it will be important to always specify, by using the "of" preposition, what we mean. If you said to me "Oh no. Look at that clusterfuck." I might think you were talking about my desktop, or my personal life, or a repair I'd attempted, or my co-workers, etc.

I will only refer to them as a "troupe" if they used to juggle, or mime. Eek. Zombie mimes. Always shuffling against the wind...

I didn't read all the posts so, sorry if this has been posted already.

Since most of them are usually dragging a leg how about a draggle of zombies. I kind of like 'school of zombies' too.

Could go with a 'bugger of zombies' or if in the UK a 'bollocks of zombies'
