i will be playing BF3 soon

would you imagine what a major outbreak could look like in BF3 ? hundred thousand of undead walking toward you surrounding you and you have hundreds of Km of ground around you.

no tanks, no LMV, no combat chopper. only jeeps truck and transport choppers.

this would be a nightmare come true.

I got into the weekend beta for the secret world but due to the NDA I did not bother to read I can't talk about it much. I will say that it is interesting and quite unlike any MMO I have ever played. Both the puzzles and skill systems are very unique for an MMO.

I have been watching it closely. Dunno if I will play it though. I am tired of being let down all the time. Will probably wait a month after its released to make the decision. Got into every MMO I was interested in from day 1 and earlier and everyone of them have just been a huge pain in the arse. But maybe TSW will be different.

Heard about Elder Scrolls Online yet? Still on the fence about it. Bethesda isnt working on it. Zenimax is. I get the feeling its just a grab at what WoW had IMO... Will have to watch it as well and see what they come up with. So far it looks like a WoW clone with EQ2 graphics. But we shall see.

Played a little Homefront today. Wish they'd made more of a single player story for that one. Awesome game. Just too short.

Games are getting shorter and shorter single player campaigns. Some are down right embarrassing. Like Force Unleashed 2. Finished it in 4 hours. And didnt come with a multiplayer option.

I have no interest it more elf based MMOs. If I was you I would wait for the game to go live for a bit before deciding to purchase. I decided to do that with Mass Effect 3 and decided not to buy it based on the information I had received. It is one of the best purchasing decisions I ever made.

I have to add Minecraft to that list. That is definitely stealing gaming time away from the others. I'll also list Star Trek Online, but I have not played it much recently.

DayZ Mod for ARMA 2 with some of the other ZS folks, seriously it is a persistent world, zombie survival game where the biggest threats come from the other players who will most likely murder you with a bullet to the back of the head for your can of beans. Its only a Alpha build bit I love it.

ETA. D3 when no one is around to play with, it isn't as much fun solo, or more so but the paranoia really ramps up, I seriously murdered a gun for being in the same building as me (and wanted his backpack), I did warn him to be fair, though the voice chat was broke I think....

kind of off topic...but how much would it cost to build a great gaiming computer...like the ability to play Arma 2 and newer games, as well as future pc games...and the ability to support mod...ive heard of guys building them for 6-800 bucks...doable?

Doable to a degree. Do you have any parts (Computer wise, monitor, mouse, ect) or would your budget need to include everything?

I'm pretty out of the loop these days on PC building so hopefully someone else chimes in, but AFAIK $800 is totally in the area, $600 should get you something decent as well.

I wouldn't go so far as to call either a "great" rig though, though great is a pretty subjective term.

ive already got the tower and moniter, keyboard and speakers, dvd drive, ect. so that 600-800 would be for the newer processor, hardrive, ram. motherboard, colling fans and any other computer geek techno stuff im dont know about...in a noob when it comes to computers. i know how to use them but thats it.

Im just looking for somthing to play all the good games now and still be workable for the newer games.

plus im salvating on the ARMA DayZ mod... 8-)

You'll most likely need
New PSU (depending on power of old one)
Mobo
Cpu
RAM
GPU

Tower should work as long as parts fit.

Mobo does mean motherboard
GPU is video card.
As for the PSU really can't remember off the top of my head, 800W should work, I think.

Lately I've been playing GTA 4. It's the first GTA game I have completed since GTA: Vice City on the PS2.

My oldest nephew was watching me play a game of it last night and asked me if there wasn't a zombie version of GTA out there. His words, "If there isn't, there needs to be."

Think about it, a zombie game set in the GTA world. If Saint's Row 3 can integrate zombies into the main story, why can't the GTA series ?

Going old school

FFVII.

12Ga - There is a zombie player skin for the GTAIV multiplayer, you get it if you take out a rockstar employee in that mode.

World of Warcraft since vanilla, but I cancelled my sub a couple months ago due to the fact that so many of my friends have moved on and I'm pretty sick of the grind. "Hello Panda Adventure Island" didn't exactly thrill me as the upcoming expansion either.

Tried Rift and although it seemed fun, everyone seemed to jump ship on that game 2 months after it released and so did I. Not much fun playing an MMO alone.

I'm considering buying DIII, but idk how much of a time sink that'll be. I'm not really into investing a ton of time into another game anymore... I get too much aggro from my wife. If it's one where I can jump on and accomplish a bit and jump off, I'll love it, but I'll be damned if I'm ever going to get locked into raid or arena schedules anymore. If you have an opinion on DIII, I'd love to hear it.

I've been playing Fallen Earth a little. It's interesting and not computer intensive in the slightest.

Some nights I'll play for 4 or 5 hours and get through a Act, other nights just a hour or two. It is really easy to put up and put down again (at least for me) the checkpoints are fairly common, maybe 30min apart at the longest? I really haven't timed it.

It will eat up more time if your ocd like me and want to discover 100% of the map (in case I woulda missed that sweet loot drop ) I am still not convinced it is worth 60 bucks, but it is a Blizz game, so don't expect it the price to drop :?

What are you playing?

Postby Justin Appleseed » Tue May 29, 2012 4:36 am

Been playing SWTOR since it came out, have four characters now all above LV 30.. Also have GuildWars 2 on reserve.

Gears 3 and Battlefield on Xbox

Twisted Metal and Dark Souls on PS3

Drooling over all the news on Halo 4 and Metro, wondering when Sony is going to have a good Trilogy or RPG come out, their slowly fading if you ask me in the game department.
