The biggest chub you had all day was firing Serg's short barrel AR.

Yeah, a quick boot and a cleaning rod and it was back in action, try doing that with an AR !!!

Awesome, we might actually be able to start a genuine AK vs. AR shitstorm now. Its been years since I participated in one. Let alone incite it.

well, I honestly haven't had much time to look into it. I think my initial look at it there seemed to be something wrong with the buffer tube area. now I am not too sure. I think the bcg might have a problem.

while I think the AK is better for basic people :-) the ar is a far superior platform for long term use. ;-)

yeah, that was a joke. :-)

Who'd you take it to? What are they doing to it?

The problem with my AR turned out be a bad magazine that was causing a double feed.

I marked the mag on the trip and ran a couple rounds through it yesterday, and it did the same thing.

I replaced the magpul follower and the mag spring and it seems to be working fine no, so problem solved!

Also, Red Two found my camera in his kit and mailed it back.. you guys want me to post the photos I took?

You have to ask??????
A politician's job they say is very high
For he has to choose who's got to go and die
They can put a man on the moon quite easy
while people here on earth are dying of old diseases

My AR is a precision weapon. Much like sex with your drunken prom date, you have to spray and pray with an AK. :P

I took it to a FFL/gunsmith in Culpepper called Immortal Arms. They specialize on silencers, but do S-12s as well. I'm having the basic conversion done: move the trigger group, Hogue pistol grip and ATI folding stock. The rest I will do myself. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I forgot to bring it to the meet, but would anyone be interested in a BC895XLT Uniden Trunktracker scanner? Basically new in box. I'm just trying to de-clutter now :p

Hey guys,

Asking for some advice,

Got a guy that wants to trade me a Rock River 16" HBAR w/quad rail (non float)tower front sight,A3 flatop and a magpul ACS 6 pos. stock. For my Arsenal slr-107fr (.223).

I just got the slr but didn't realize I could only get thermold magazines and at $35/ mag. Suddenly the SLR doesn't fit into my common caliber, common magazine prep plan. I like it but have put it up for sale to see what will bite. It's either trade for the AR or get another slg-21 to add to my AK collections.

let me know what you think,

thanks,

The Rock River is a good AR platform. My dad has one and it's worked good every time. I am not sure about the comparison, from my understanding the Arsenal's are top of the line AKs. I would want some money on top of the AR for that trade.

Finally found out the problem. The idiots screwed up the bolt rings. The last ring was mushroomed and it looks like that was scrapping against the bolt carrier assembly.

Looks like only new rings and I'll be good. Damn, I was hoping to get a failzero. :)

Those two weps are about comparable in price. If you are having to pay that much for mags I would Def do the trade. My being impartial to the AR non-withstanding to this advice.
If you are reading this, I have taken brief control of your mind.
