strip the lining out of a set of firefighting bunker gear. It is made of kevlar and nomex. Made to be slash and crushtear proof.

Cheap but DIY needed: fire blankets

They're pretty easy to find, and come in big sheets so you could potentially make a lot of different shaped garments from them.

Only thing I can think of is the heat issue, they're gonna make you sweat - but better sweaty than zombiefied.

I would have to make do with what i have aready and its leather welding sleevs. they are flexable, tuff, and quick to put on and take off . the would only prevent arm bites though.

The best armor is to be where zombies are not...

How about car tires for short order armor?

You could make them crotchless if needed?

Interested in this cable idea. What is a cat5 cable? Also I like the versatility of the gear. It's manageable, fire resistant, and should be effective at keeping zombies at bay.

It's an Ethernet cord. Google "shrine of the mall ninja."

Be serious , and have fun with it . I am interested in hearing about other people's ideas .

Serious? I'd make sure I was wearing good gloves, sturdy leather boots, and some damn pants, and let mobility and a firearm keep 'em from getting close enough to bite.

Fun? Starship Troopers power armor.
