You might possibly find 1 in a old state auction. I know there is a state lot that old forestry trucks and volunteer fire department brush trucks go when retired in Alabama. You might contact your local forestry commision or local government and inquire. You might luck up and pick up an ole PTO winch for lil to nothing.
If you're gonna be stupid, You gotta be tough.

Lots of sanding, primer and paint going on, got the rear bumper pieces back on, painted the gas can holders, fill tube, mirror brackets, front cowl, head light trim rings, hood hold downs, reflector trim rings and installed new red reflectors, installed new rubber bumpers on the tailgate, cleaned and painted the radiator, went to hardware store and bought new bolts for accessories and started mounting stuff. Things are moving along! I actually drove it today! 8-)

Mounted the front bumper and installed all the clevis hooks, Painted the tail lights, installed the wipers, made up some new tailgate chains, I had new chain and lock rings and I re used the old hooks, went to walmart and bought a bicycle inner tube and cut sleeves from that, I used a wire to pull the new chain thru the inner tube pieces, it turned out great and I only have $5 into them for the inner tube! I then cleaned the shop, it was a huge mess from all the work I have been doing. I had a cabinet sitting on the floor I have been triping over forever so I finally mounted it on a wall!... all in all a good day!

Boy, that rig is really lookin' fine!

Can you come up with a way to lock-off the fuel filler cap? I would hate to see some asshole dump some sugar in your fuel tank, or drain you dry because it's such an easy target.

hey, where did you get the hood latches from? I'm looking for a set for my Gladiator.

Awesome build, I'm insanely jealous. I wanted a 715 more.

Thats Funny cause I was looking for a Gladiator when I found the M715
Same latches as used on the early Jeep CJ's I just saw some for $10 on ebay, new old stock (NOS) military.

That is awesome. I have a DJ5 postal jeep project that is a smaller version of what you are doing. We are working on a roof escape hatch and we are attaching an old firetruck siren to it. I can't wait to see yours when it is done.

Oh, they are? Thats awesome. I was thinking that the CJ latches wouldnt work because the latch arm is mounted vertically on the truck and on the fender flat on the CJ. Good to know.

Hey, I'll trade you jeeps if you want :D

Ok... well... now that it's all done my wife decides she wants a Class C Motorhome so I just listed the truck on ebay under Jeep M715. :gonk:
I was going to put a camper on this truck but wifey says she won't ride in it :? s she has been a really good wife, can I blame her if she wants a toilet and shower? Maybe I will buy a motorhome and then convert it to 4 wheel drive  anyway, heres the final picture of the truck!

They wont let you list a military vehicle with regular cars and trucks so I had to list it under other vehicles and trailers. Don't know why they did this but go to ebay put in Jeep M715 and go to the left side of the page and click on other vehicles and trailers.

After all of that work! That has got to be worth some serious brownie points. :D Good luck with the sale, you should get a pretty good return on the build. That is one of the nicest 715's I've seen.

Hey thanks for the thumbs up! I really busted my ass on it and it breaks my heart to be selling it, all my friends and relatives think I am nuts for selling it! but nobody realizes how good my wifes been to me, she knows it means a lot to me but I know she has dreams to and she has made a lot of mine come true so now its her turn. Jeesh I almost felt a tear. hahahahahahahahaha but seriously though, she bought me a brand new Polaris RZR for Christmas last year and about 5 years ago she bought me a brand new motorcycle. she's pretty cool!

They give something to you with one hand, and then take something away with the other. Classic passive-aggregation behavior.

The first step in dealing with a traumatic incident is acknowledging that the assault took place ... I feel for you my brother.

It gets better.
