When you go shopping for a new home you start mentally listing everyone that may be bugging out to your place and figuring out sleeping arrangements and how long you could house them.

You think your kid's appendectomy is a good thing because he'll be more likely to survive the PAW.

-your exercises consist of the weight of your bob+weapon
-you check the skies before bed and early morning for chem trails
-disasters are often when you feel most comfortable
-you plan out every possible way to get home in order to avoid bridges and free ways
- when you ask people what their plan is, they say go to you. You ask them to take inventory of what they are bringing and give them a sign to place on your their car to identify friendlies
-the amount of people that said they are going to you in a SHTF situation make you realize you need more of everything
- you look into investing in horses for the PAW when fuel will be gone
- when you ask people their plans and they say go to a Costco, Wal-mart, Sams Club, you tell them why their plan won't work and the danger they could be in going there
- you know the elevation of your house
The ringing in your ears is the sound of your own destruction.

You save those fake credit cards you get in the mail just to wrap duct tape around them.
No matter what length the excess 550 cord is you burn the ends and save it even if it is 2" long.
The junk drawer in your kitchen has about 20 of the rubber bands that were wrapped around the brocolli.
You save the twist ties that come on cords for new electronics.
You have an old bel biv devoe cd in your B.O.B. Not because you like it but because it is your signal mirror.
More than one of the fuses on your B.O.V. has a foil gum wrapper on it.
You save the gum wrapper for the above reason.
You've switched from rubber bands to velcro to keep shit neat and tidy in your B.O.B. because it's a lasts longer.
Your old toothbrush gets put into the gun cleaning kit instead of thrown away.
You have wd-40 in the gallon and save your windex bottles just for it.
You ask your mechanic for the old bearings from your(insert part here) cause you save them for your slingshot.
You got lasic surgery for $2012.00 this year just in case the mayans were right and your glasses get broken when the polar shift happens 4 days before xmas.
Everybody is getting ammo for xmas this year just in case the mayans were right. Including the 9 mo.
Your faraday cage has a faraday cage.
The handwarmers you used as O2 absorbers actually still worked as handwarmers when you opened the rice to make dinner last night.

You have months of dry food stockpiled in white pails for your dog, 'cause you want her with you in the PAW (and you know dog food is nutritious).

You see somebody jogging with a daypack on their back in an urban setting and think, "Oh, Bug Out Training!"

lol. You see someone jogging/biking/any other activity with a daypack on their back in an urban setting and immediately calculate whether or not you could perform the same task with your GHB or BOB and what performance handicap (if any) that would involve.

Add extra points if you also automatically include in your calculations optional situational modifiers such as "ZOMGWTFZOMBIES!!!"

The "lunch" you pack for your child's out-of-town field trip contains 116% of their daily caloric needs, in shelf-stable form.

<----

Except it's her daily rations to cover school (morning recess), school (lunch), daycare (snacks), daycare (afternoon tea).

I know that there's more than enough protein, energy, starches, carb's, etc to cover a day and a half - maybe two at a stretch.
I know that it always covers 75 - 100% of her daily fibre requirements.
It covers all the five food groups and the two servings of fruit and five servings of vegetables thing.
It contains only so much of that sugar
and
when she was having "social problems/fitting in, etc" there was always an extra two or three of each of the good stuff to use as social currency.

The young lady who runs the out of school care/day care centre always says, "if there's ever an earthquake we'll all be fine so long as she (the daughter) has got her backpack with her so I don't mind it when she scams me into carrying it for her because she says it's too heavy for her."

(it's not too heavy for her btw, she's just a grifter. lol)
