We can't even have that in Washington. I thought I was going to be clever and have one of the Izzy magazine 90 degree doohickey's and not have a "magazine inserted or round in chamber." They wrote into the law that you can't have the ammunition attached at all to the weapon. It isn't even a state criminal justice code or anything. It is in the fish and game code.

I have heard of that being the law elsewhere as well. California State Parks, maybe? I'm not sure.

I will pull up the RCW. It is enforced by the fish and game warden, but is in the RCW's.

I would be particularly pleased if the painting of Steph with the AK sold, allowing her to get trained on the exact weapon she's holding in the painting. (Attire is likely to be somewhat different. And I don't think she'll run a "jungle taped" mag IRL.)

So, mags in mag pouches on the rifle case are G2G? That's how my AK rides. I think we ditched the cased/unloaded requirement in WI, but I'm not sure, so I haven't changed how I do anything. It works, not fucking with it...

If I felt I needed a rifle/mag, I'd carry a mag on my person for the rifle. And I did do that for several years...

Since we finally got CCW, I EDC a G35. Close enough to an AK for immediate action, until I fight my way to the rifle

It is a dumb law that is meant to just throw one more fine on top of poachers I think. It just gets in the way of my perfect car setup.

More and more stupid laws get passed that way. I never used to mind, like many, but I've had my fill of dumb...

Lets stick to laws with clear purpose, huh?

Just saw the painting of Steph now that I'm at home. Fucking awesome, Jeriah. Love it.

ETA: L1zard, my wife is cool with having a huge Mexican firefighter crash at our house the Wednesday before MilCopp (that would be the 7th of June IIRC). So, if you can make it, you can drive from McAllen Wednesday, sleep here that night (we got a nice guest bedroom, but it's next to the room our son that doesn't sleep before about midnight every night stays in, so you get what you pay for), then ride out Thursday morning with me (I will have my AC fixed by then I'm positive).

I'm planning on staying at Braxton's Hole about 5 minutes from the range, so if you have any strong feelings about weird homoerotic shit, hotel accommodations are yours to acquire.

Google Maps is showing that your trip to my place is about the same as my trip to MilCopp, which is almost 9 hours.

I'm certainly game if you can make it.

I throw my own rifles, thank you.

It was not one of "those."

On another note, if anyone knows of a cheap Aim Point or EOTech for sale by someone, let me know, I had to get my spare one back from Junior's rifle.

What did you get?

Also, PICS!
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

That's a good one or arfcom equipment exchange. I'm not a fan of that place, but I have bought a few things there for some good deals.

Actually, I have none! I'm going to be putting it on Junior's rifle and/or my build. I am not a brand whore, :D . So if you run across something in that range I'm game.

Oh, and thelastone, thanks a lot buddy. I'm calling a guy off armslist this afternoon about a trade. I hate you.

What's your price range? When I was at training a couple weeks ago a guy with me department was talking about selling his patrol rifle optic to upgrade.

It's still up in the air as of this point. And as for the homoerotica, I've been exposed to more than my fair share of it in my tenure as a firefighter.
