When I was on active duty, the topic of Glocks came up in a group of soldiers. A staff sergeant chimed in with, "the Army (US) used to issue Glocks, but they were too powerfull, so they switched to the Desert Eagle. After that they went to the M9". I didnt know what to say so I just left. In hindsight I wish I would have asked him to explain himself just to see how much worse it would get.

OT: From a teacher in Junior High, back when I used a .30-30 for deer hunting: You can't possibly use a .30-30 to kill a deer. If that's all you have and you can get head shots, fine. But you really need at least a _____ (I forget the exact round, but it was something-Weatherby Magnum).

I have a ton of respect for the military, really, but this is exactly why I believe that just because you were a soldier, doesnt mean you are some amazing SF super soldier, and civi's cant shoot, which is the impression I get a lot.
Top Shot and some other competitive shows (yes, I know its tv) really opened my eyes to the....world of talent in shooting, its not all in the military

Yeah, I realized I forgot what the total was so went back to edit it. Didn't remember to change the first part. I didn't say the total was $3.29, I merely said it was an oddball amount. It worked at the time
