I need this Colt

Postby doc66 » Sat Feb 04, 2012 9:17 pm

So I was looking around on Colt's website and admiring some of the things that they are doing once again, like the hard chrome finish, the fullsized 1911 with the lightweight frame, reintroducing the Combat Elite (one I've always liked), the New Frontier (I gotta get one of these), and ran across this gem;

Yes, you see it right, a Gatling Gun.

And it's in .45-70. Fuck me if I don't have a chubby right now.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to know how much that thing costs...much less how much it would cost to shoot it the way it surely yearns to be shot... :(

A real Gatling Gun is not considered a firearm by Canadian law, sadly this one probably would be and therefor most likely prohibited.
Still very chubby worthy.
cheers

When you said Colt, I threw up in my mouth a little. But, when I clicked on the link, I heard music. Now I can't imagine myfront door without one of these pointing at it. Now, the only question is, can my floor joists support a MG position? Please, someone tell me how much this will cost.

In .45-70? Damn, that's going to leave a mark. Think I'd have to sell both of my SCARs just to afford the ammo for this bad boy, but, a real, working Gatling Gun? Hells yeah. How many thousand is this supposed to go for?

My buddy has one, it is a blast. One of the two on the show Top Shot was his. If you get two people working the thing, crew served weapon and all, you can really lay down a tremendous volume of lead. The best thing for this gun is tracers and night fire. Rainbow trajectory visualized.

IIRC, the gun is 36k delivered. It is not water cooled, and it is not meant to be water cooled. The reason it is covered in brass is because it is the Navy model. Brass does not oxidize quite as fast as steel does in a salt water environment.

I saw watching Attack of the Show coverage of the Shot Show a few weeks ago, the guy said these were going for 50 grand (yes $50,000). Check it out...
