10 mile walk around the lake with my dogs. Priceless.

severely overestimating the kind of shape I'm in...painful. will need to go back to shorter walks and work up to this. :gonk:

I started the Couch to 5K running program and am now on Week 4. (There's tons of free apps and podcasts out there!) So for the first time I am spending the majority of 30 mins running vs. walking. It's been a great way to ease into things without injury. So if you are like me and never were a runner even when you were young and fit, or if you've been out of it for awhile and want to avoid injury and deep sixing yourself for awhile by pushing yourself too hard, I highly recommend it. At this rate I am confident I'll be able to meet my short term goal of running the entire 5k event I signed up for (it's in March). I don't think I would have gotten even this far on my own, I like all-or-nothing way too much when left to my own devices. :)

Did this today. Simple firefighter ability test. After we packed all our equipment, we had a structure fire. So yeah, pretty good workout.

1/12
1 Hr kickboxing (2 minutes* of doing kicks, punches) 60 push up, 2 mins plank, 100 sit ups, and 45 mins grappling. 50 squats, 35 jumping squats.
Grappled 3 times with the instructor. Got tapped out 2 twice and grappled to a draw, all 3 matches were 2 minutes.
I was so smoked at the end of the night.

*Solid 2 minutes, non-stop. 30 second break, back to next rd. I had to sit a few out, man, I was smoked.

ETA: I was so tired I forgot my lunch today. That's okay because it's a 0.5 mile walk to subway.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this question but does anyone know any good workouts for someone doing OTR trucking/ living on a truck?

Been struggling w/ sinus / chest infection, better today and back at it

Squats: 45x20, 135x10, 225 5x10

still not close to full lung capacity, and having to cough w/ 225 on my shoulders was worrisome. Felt good to push it, though.
