Postby azrael99 » Sun Dec 25, 2011 9:53 pm

if a zombie attack happen while you are at work, how would you look like, what would you have already to protect yourself ?

i'm a welding student in one of the biggest metallurgy school in north america who also have one of the best aluminium technology shop
so this is what i would look like right away, since i have to carry protective suit and gear all day long.

I work from home 99.9% of the time, so I'd be a few feet from all my preps. So I'd be decked out at the first hint of z-day.

Bathrobe and bunny slippers are my current uniform. I'm unemployed for the temporary moment.

<<<<<<< like this- outdoors, and I work indoors.

In other words, I'd be GONE from my job, after giving due warning, and due notice of my resignation, in that order, all while heading for the exit. It would probably go somewhat like "Zombies! Run! I quit, I'm outta here!" with maybe a "have a nice day" tossed in at the end.
After that, they're on their own. They've done NONE of the improvements to deal with emergencies I've suggested over the years, so this is what they get.

Sums it up for me as well.

If it happens while I'm at work, I'd wonder if the guys upstairs would be willing to loan me some gear, otherwise I'll be heading out in my jacket and tie and pray I get home in one piece.

Since I work in a federal building, I'm either going to be very secure or the whole thing is going to be a train wreck. If I have to call it, 25% sure thing, 75% trainwreck.

Well, you got FPS in the building. Our guys here in Pittsburgh are very locked on.

As for me, I've got my daily outfit of coyote suede boots, 5.11 tac lite pros, elbeco polos, and 5.11 3-in-one jacket (wearing the liner today as it is freezing). Once the zeds come, I can take them out with massive plans no one will ever read. Worst case scenario, I can open up one of the plans and read from it. That would make their heads explode. 8-)

I work in a secure building on MacDill AFB so I am pretty safe until I try to move as I have about 1/4 to get to the parking lot where my truck will be parked, if Zack is already on base. I have 26 miles to drive to get to the house and the wife/dogs/main stash of packed gear.

No firearms can be brought on base, so I would be forced to use melee weapons or just running Zack over in my Raptor. I don't have a warm fuzzy trusting my ass to the kids the AIr Force has for security police here.

Polo shirt and khakis, with sneakers. I work in an office, but I only wear the suit and tie when I'm meeting with a major donor. I'm well of as far as non-weapon supplies: the disaster supplies for the county are locked up at my office and I'm the guy with the keys.

I'd be so pissed if my primary was a pistol and the guy behind me had an mp7 w/eotech.

OT: ACUs on a "secure" army post. By secure I mean anyone with photo Id can get on. I keep a helmet and vest in the car but definitely no weapons (cause the army will protect us).

I'm on a FOB surrounded by armed soldiers. I think I'd be okay.

But, if things got too thick, I have my Gerber multitool and my hammerhatchetpliersknifesawthingy.

I'd have some khaki cargo pants and an ugly shirt with the name of my gas station on it.
