From the town of Bradford, up here preparing my self, as everyone thinks I'm nuts.
Playing around with my truck getting her ready for when the shtf. Might be awhile before I get down that way, the prepared list is never ending:)

Also, not sure how i missed this message, but Hello and welcome! You're a ways out, but i'm hoping to run at least 1 event this year in Toronto. Also, assuming you're not a serious wierdo, i'd always be willing to supply a couch, (or get our one member to get you a really cheap motel room) to crash on if you want to make it down to one of our events.

Hello everyone! I'm a local Welland/Niagara Falls member for those who don't know me. My wife and I are both active on the preparedness front while I try my best to participate in the chapter's charity activities.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet but there is an event happening this Monday at Wimpy's diner (our monthly meeting place). Come on out, donate toys to needy children and meet the squad!

I have my name down on a list for a new Kel-tec Sub2000 down near the HQ. The store's told me to expect the shipment in between Christmas and the early new year. Do we know when the first meeting of the new year will be? If I'm coming down that far I might as well finish out the trip with a ZS dinner in a diner.

Yup, they're the only distributor of Kel-Tec in Ontario, at least it wasn't hard to do some comparison shopping. But anyways, I've got the meeting in my phone, if it's in by then, you should expect me to the meeting.

awesome. When you come down, you'll be a lot faster just taking highway 20 (A block from the store)into the falls once you leave the store than going back to the QEW. The diner is on highway 20 (Lundy's Lane)

Hello from Whitby! I'm new, so be gentle! Does the Ontario chapter ever do any camping trips? Maybe group mock bug out trips or just camping get togethers? At the rate money is coming in for me and what not, I should be good to go for that kinda stuff by the summer if i'm not on course or tasked out with the army.

I'm not promising anything, because Niagara Falls is a solid 2 hour trip for me but I might be able to make it out for a meeting once or twice if you guys are having one. Just curious though, what happens at meetings? I haven't found an AAR thread in this chapters forum.

Anyways, I look forward to the days to come! Cheers

The chapter is working on putting together some bug outs, but that's still in the initial stages. As for the commute, I can understand. We also are going to be starting regular meetings in Toronto soon. Make it out to which ever, whenever! Nice to see you here in the forms though!

Thanks! I've only got a few more items to purchase until I can comfortably spend a weekend in the elements. Got my bag on the way (Eberlestock FAC Track) just picked up my sleeping kit today, my GPS and compass (Garmin eTrex 10 and Suunto MC-G2 w/ Mils bezel). Next to buy is the Neo Air mattress and a water filter and I should be good to go.

Aleks is at zcon, but yes the camping trip is still in the works, see the thread we have for it. It will be at a very remote location deep in the woods, and not for the faint of heart! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Count me in for an Algonquin trip for sure! Been a few years since I've been up there but I've spent a lot of time there in the past.
