how to collect supplies in the zombie apocalypse

I prefer the pied piper method !find a 4x4 bucket truck (the type the electric co uses to repair lines) weld expanded metal over the windows of the truck & affix snow plow you should also tint the windows so the zombies cant see the person driving , once this is done have one person drive the truck slowly through town with another person in the bucket being used as bait! drive to the tallest bridge or cliff in town & position the greased bucket truck arm and human bait over the edge & have them make a shit ton of noise drawing every walker in the area to the bait & watch them fall over the ledge like lemmings ! laugh heartily & have a drink while enjoying the show! once the town clears out leisurely collect supplies & head back to a fortified location with a long clear field of fire & good escape routes ! ........ Anyone else have any interesting techniques to share?

I like the bait & fall deal... but discussing the "collection" of supplies, that you do not own, is of course taboo here. Also, intentionally calling zeds towards you just seems... bad, maybe a speaker on the boom? Next to a mannequin?

I'd stock up on food and supplies before the zombie apocalypse, and then go collect them from my pantry (and garage, and other storage areas), laugh heartily and have a drink.

i just reread the damn rules & didnt see a thing about no talk of scavenging in the zombie Apocalypse but it doesnt surprise me it seems every time i post something i get the whole "dancenbear you have a PM" message ,followed by this tread is being locked for review ! i guess im just going to go back to survivalblog .com
