Is it safe to refuge in South or Central America???

Postby 937mummy » Tue Nov 29, 2011 8:00 pm

I am in solidarity w/ Occupy Dayton and I have been warned that we are in the wake of nuclear war... I am inquiring about refuge somewhere that may not be in the crossfire... Any knowledge???

Definition of WAKE

1: the track left by a moving body (as a ship) in a fluid (as water); broadly : a track or path left
2: aftermath 3

— in the wake of
1: close behind and in the same path of travel <missionaries arrived in the wake of conquistadors and soldiers — Sabine MacCormack>
2: as a result of : as a consequence of <power vacuums left in the wake of the second world war — A. M. Schlesinger b1917>

I think it's safe to say we are not in the wake of nuclear war.

Yeah, I'd be interested to know how the conclusion that nuclear war is imminent was arrived at. I mean, should I be worried?

So...937mummy doesn't have $15 and two other people to start a ZS chapter, but he has money to flee to Tierra del Fuego?

He's got knowledge of impending nuclear war...you can't put a price on that!

Sure I can. It is apparently somewhere between $15 and the cost of a ticket to Tierra del Fuego.

I bet he could catch a flight on the Trans-Meatworld Spice Dragon Airline for cheap. After Montana of course, then Terra del fuego.

And why Tierra del Fuego? I mean, I understand bugging out to Madagascar in the event of a global pandemic, but why Tierra del Fuego?

If the OP wears a nice outfit then Fire Island has free booze and "all-you-can-eat."

So is Tierra del Fuego going to start its own chapter? Can we pay a small fee to get "Vacationing Member" IDs?

I would like to be in charge of opening the first "Cheap Booze and 'All You Can Eat Meat' Resort." I'll call it..."Meat World."

There is a persistent claim that Tierra del Fuego is supposed to be the place that gets the least fallout in the event of a global nuclear war.

I expect someone to save an ICBM for just such an occasion. Spite is a powerful weapon, matched only by thermonuclear warheads.

My resort will have bunkers. Obviously, before entering the bunkers everyone will have to strip down for the group decontamination shower, to make sure there's no risk of airborne fallout spreading to the rest of the bunker.
