I started getting the one entire side ready for painting, as well I scored an old vise and a truck hitch, from next door in the scrap bin. The hitch I am going to install on the front of the truck, I have to cut the hitch shorter across the width and reweld it, clean and paint it and bolt it to the frame this way I can make a few recievers for a varity of mountings, one will be for the vise, one for a winch, the other a brush-zombie grill.

Moved mine and the Mrs winter gear bags into the truck since there is snow standing on the mountains above the apartment right now. Also ordered a new set of heavy tire chains and a set of cables for the highway for the truck since my old pair don't fit the new shoes. Double checked that the bottle jack still functions and my spare parts kit was fully stocked again after the last time it was raided.

Next up is doing the same for the car and the work truck.

Got my new shocks on, finally eliminating the clatter. I swear it sounded like I had those damned "just married cans" dragging behind me. Going Thursday to get my tires on.

Redid priorities on the Jeep and set a date to order the helper air springs for the rear end. 2 weeks.

Well this isn't really a prepare thing but went out to ride on my bike and stepped on the peddles and my real wheel warped all the spokes craped out and now I'm bike less wich is my main bov and my commuter bike to work......looks like toomorrow I am walkling to work :( . Not too bad of a situation because I needed new wheels anyway. I will be adding quite anew things to this bike soon and probably will post pics on a new thread.

Last weekend I started my project BOV for the first time in 4 years. Once I got gas up to the carb it ran like a mofo. :)

Today I moved it 30 miles east to my supposed new QTH, which has a real live honest to god work shop I can use.

I have a *lot* of work ahead of me. I hope the zombies don't come too soon.

Emptied the spare can of diesel into the tank and refilled it with fresh, treated with a diesel fuel conditioner. Replaced a few hand tools back into storage on it after using them in the garage. Inspected the other tools stored in the boxes and cleaned up any rust, sprayed down what needed it with some WD-40.

Gave the truck it's daily walk-around, checking tires, lights, fluids, etc.

I had the transmission lines replaced and did an oil change and lube. Giving some thought to snow and mud tires.

Had some aftermarket bits in my front diff fail, parts are warranted thankfully. The back-up red car is about as inspiring to drive as a grandma's motorised scooter with flat batteries.

It's probably just the angle the photo was taken at... but that really looks like the jackstand holding it up is too far back to support it well. It looks almost ready to teeter.
